Visited today for the first time. Will definitely be back. A treasure trove of beautiful fabrics and yarns. Could have spent a fortune, but had to resist. Well appointed premises, excellent parking and access and such lovely, helpful, keen, knowledgeable staff. My purchases were wrapped in a cute recycled pattern tissue and tied with offcut fabric... sooo pleasing. I live on teesside but it was well worth a trip on the motorbike to visit this outstanding gem!

I visited on Thursday evening, I had traveled from Doncaster with other family members as we had seen Bugweeds on Facebook.The staff (sorry I didn’t get names) made us feel so welcome, they made us a cuppa and let us just look around at our own leisure and we’re chatting away to us along with other customers.I made a purchase of some beautiful fabric that I’m looking forward to using.It’s a fantastic place with lots of lovely stuff to pick from and felt I could ask questions about things too.Thank you to everyone there and I hope to be back soon to get more lovely stuff.

Oh my goodness, where do I start? I'm in York for a short break and had a few hours to spare today so made my way to Bugweeds, it's absolute heaven on earth. I received the warmest of welcomes, offer of tea/coffee and such lovely, friendly and helpful staff. It was like chatting with friends. All this before I even touched a bolt of fabric. What a selection they have. I may have accidently purchased way too much fabric (no such thing, I know) but I literally had to stop myself or I won't eat for the rest of the month. In all seriousness it's one of the best shopping experiences I ever had and I could have spent the day here. I loved to so much I'll be travelling back down from Scotland very soon for another visit. Thanks again for all your help, I'm one very happy lady. Did I mention how friendly everyone was? Oh and I had a fan girl moment when who should walk in but Gill from the Sewing Bee which was the icing on the cake!

It may look small from the outside, but inside it's a large fabric paradise with so many beautiful collections and brands. You could probably spend hours in here and still not see everything. Fabric is always perfectly cut off the bolt and beautifully wrapped. The owner, Rebecca, is lovely, helpful and so welcoming. There's a children's play area, making it easier to spend longer with the gorgeous fabric. On top of all of the lovely prints, there's a huge range of solids and blenders, I've always been able to find the exact colour solid I need, as well as matching thread. Plus free parking right outside. Amazing shop with lots of fabric gems. My favourite shop in York!

Fantastic range of materials and absolutely first class customer service. The lady was incredibly helpful and looked at my pattern with me and discussed the various options for the skirt I was making. She’s also said she could post fabric out if necessary. I shall definitely be returning soon!

Go to fabric shop!!! I have sadly never been able to visit Bugweed in person but the amazing customer support that Rebecca offers makes shopping online so easy and enjoyable. The care and support she offers is invaluable and makes you feel you are talking to a friend. The suggestions she offers have been an asset when completing orders. The fabrics are all of amazing standard and I have been a repeat customer of the last couple of years. I hope one day soon I will be able to make the journey to make a visit in person. I would 100% recommend this amazing business!!!
