West End Post Office

Wish I’d checked reviews before I visited! The elderly lady with fair straight hair and glasses doesn’t seem to understand how to give good customer service. She was very rude - not only in her manner, but kept talking over me, repeating herself as if I didn’t understand, and didn’t take time to listen to what I was actually asking her. Would advise you take your custom elsewhere if possible.

Amazing service I don’t know why people are giving bad reviews

The blond lady with blue eyes and glasses made me cry, today she descriminated against me because of my hijab , i came from college just a few minutes ago i was so tired and went there, at the comming out of the shop a lady holding a baby came infront of me and accidently i droped out some magazines with my bag she came and told me u are so rude and i was trying to help her but she was saying seriosly no need for help in a very bad manner she ruined my day. I cried all the way walking to home . is there someone or a manager to have a look at thier empolyees or not ?

Just googled opening times of this post office so my husband could nip there on his way home from work (as a postman himself!!!!!) Couldn’t help put my own review in after seeing others experience bad customer services as myself!Went in with my 4 year old and 2 parcels a couple of weeks ago. Two woman behind the desk, both talking to each other. Ignoring me.. firstly can I just say what a lovely example to set to small children.. not !! I walked over saying hello - hi … not one response. Please ladies do better. Set an example. Could barely hear the woman who was talking to me. Didn’t even make eye contact with me, rude as anything. I could write worse but won’t use foul language!Left feeling real uncomfortable and to be honest I won’t use this post office again even though it’s my local! I will drive that little bit extra to the post office in midanbury. Never experienced any rudeness there. Lovely workers. Would say boycott this post office guys. Or change your staff PLEASE

Absolutely horrendous customer service, the blonde woman is so condescending, unhelpful and rude to every single customer. They upset my grandmother multiple times so I will go out of my way now to avoid this place like the plague.

Efficient and knowledgable staff. Yes Julie who works there probably does need some empathy training :-) but overall it's a great service there and the post mistress is always super helpful.

The staff are always miserable in there and so rude to their customers. I hate going here but do so because of the convenience but I'm finally putting my foot down and will stick to Hedge End from now on as fed up of the attitudes of the people who work there.Today I took in a PIP box to be posted which is classed as a large letter, the lad working there had no idea of the difference between a large letter and a parcel. Over charged me which I questioned and was assured it was the correct price. I knew it was wrong so left and looked it up online and when I went back in to challenge it he was still convinced it was the correct price, I had to ask him to put it through the sizing gauge to prove my point. He's worked there for months so wondering how many people he has charged double for. It really shouldn't be down to customer's to inform the staff how to do their Job. It took him forever to sort out the correct priceand refund me and the lady working there was rude about the whole thing too.

Why are most people leaving bad reviews? Do they not understand that it’s a stressful job? The staff aren’t always happy admittedly, but who is these days? I’ve got no issues with the service. Yes, sometimes they might be a little blunt, but that’s usually when there’s a long queue of very demanding customers! Give these people a break for goodness sake. I for one wouldn’t want to deal with zombies and arrogant customers all day long. Ignore the haters!

The women serving seem like everythings a hassle like they should have retired years ago and they hold you personally responsible. No smiles no hellos avoid if I can !

Can't understand these poor reviews people. I use the Post Office most weeks for mail, stamps eBay parcels, and general stuff and find all the staff (generally busy) for both the shop & behind the counter most helpful and friendly. Some times need to queue but it usually moves quite quickly & with an apology for the slightly extra waiting time from the counter staff. 5* awarded to level out the possible earlier unfair comments.
