Have returned from the Rotai showroom demonstration. It was so above my expectation. I was there for nearly two hours and came out feeling 5 cms taller. The reflexology was as good (or nearly as good) as a human therapist. Doesn’t compare to any other massage chair I have ever been on.

This chair was recommended to me as the “best of the best” by two different distributors in the USA. A couple of weeks ago I found the Rotai site and made an appointment to visit one of the showrooms.The chair is unlike any other massage chair that I had experienced and hits every spot. Other chairs I’ve tried seem like toys in comparison.I also like the design of this chair that suits my modern apartment Other chairs I’ve seen looked like they’d be better in old age homes.There’s one particular programme that I really liked which made me think I was on some mediaeval rack, when I got out of the chair I felt twenty years younger and could touch my toes for the first time in ages.I’m going back with my partner to demo it again before taking the plunge

Regretfully I have Multiple Sclerosis (MS). I am lucky enough to have a trainer to help me through what can be difficult times in terms of mobility.However, in a concerted and continued effort to try anything that might help me alleviate the pain and “loosen me up”, I have trialled many massage chairs over the last couple of years. Some cheap(ish) to very expensive where the dealers have made various claims as to how their particular chair would help me (short of giving me medical advice!)In short, I can finally report that I believe I’ve “hit gold“. The Rotai Ultimate was actually suggested to me by a physiotherapist who had tested it out at one of his patients homes. He had also tested various massage chairs over the years and, to quote him, he had never experienced a massage chair that remotely came near the calibre of this chair.My physiotherapist’s patient kindly allowed me to visit her and spend nearly an hour on this chair going through many of the preset programs and various modes. As unbelievable as I found it, this chair has offered me pain relief that I had not felt for a long time. It’s obviously not a cure but I do know that very regular use will help me considerably.It leaves me with a small problem. My physio can’t afford the chair it and he’s asked if he can make good use of mine when it arrives!

Wow. What an experience. I was a bit skeptical at first as to how good could it be. Boy was I wrong. Not only did I love it but also my 13 and 17-year-old children who also absolutely loved it. I literally could not tear them away from the showroom. I have to admit that. I was initially very wary of putting my younger child on the machine as I believed that it might be too strong but on its gentle setting she adored it, and it wouldn’t have surprised me that she would have liked it, even stronger. I really felt that it was as good as any human massage I have ever received and felt beautifully cocooned in the chair. My wife and I were a little worried about where to place the unit until told and shown that it can be placed less than 3 inches away from the back wall.

I’m considering a massage chair and saw this one in Selfridges yesterday. I tested it and also the one next to it and I must say I had a unique experience with this one. Tested a few of the many available programs and they were just amazing. I’ll come back with my wife soon.

i love massages, it's true. Ive had many over the years, regularly and I delight when i find a massage therapist who does it properly. Now i have found that massage therapist in a CHAIR -and i don't have to book days in advance, change or cancel ,get in the car and drive to and from, park, pay the parking, get changed in a space thats a bit too tight, make small talk, ask for 'a bit more around the shoulder/knee 'etc. etc. OK, there is no human touch, but i can programme it myself to do everything that i need on a day to day basis - and it does my hands beautifully! Im totally hooked.

I was surprised at the quality of the massage. I've tried a lot of chairs over the years in Japan, but they usually don't do the whole body and don't use enough pressure. This one is special, it's the closest to a massage by a therapist. Particularly liked the arm and hand massage. Totally recommend

Wow! What an experience! To be honest, when I went to the showroom I wasn't expecting to have such a fantastic experience with the massage chair. One of my friends had mention in passing about Rotai and I thought I'd see for myself. Instantly the sales staff put me at ease - no hard sell, and it was set up was like being in my own home. They explained the various programmes and settings that the chair offers.It was amazing. The actual massage was like nothing I had experienced. It was like having 3 masseurs at once (in a great way!)I am so tempted, what a machine!

Made an appointment at their London showroom and they saw us precisely on time. Just answered our questions and there was nothing “salesy” and we had a two hour tryout. Like the other reviews have said, this is unlike any other massage chair we have tried and very excited about it.
