GENERAL BARBERS

I have been going here for a while now and I have never been disappointed with my haircuts! Owner is friendly and has a great personality! I would easily recommend this barbers to anyone.

Needed a fresh skin fade on holiday on my visit to Torquay and saw this barbershop on the street this afternoon, so thought I'd try it. First impressions of the shop is the decor how colourful and cultural it is, it was very nice to look at. Very friendly barber made you feel welcome and relaxing music which almost made me fall asleep. Very happy with the haircut itself, skin fade was spot on. Will defo come back here if I need another trim when I come to Torquay!

My autistic 16 year old son wont go anywhere else than the General Barbers for a haircut or shave my son Zac has been going there for a couple of years i would recommend it to anyone with a special youngster as the staff are so accommodating and friendly with Zac nothing is too much for them. Zach (the barber) had a day off last time we visited but when he walked passed the shop and saw us in there he cut and shaved my son. Thanks guys it is lovely and easy for me to get zac's haircut even though he wont shave himself

I have been taking my sons to Zack at General Barbers since they both had their first cuts there. He is fantastic with them both, amazing patience and a fab cut at the end of it. No stress whatsoever. Other barbers refused to cut my eldest son’s hair but Zack was more than happy to help me. Would recommend anyone with young children to go and visit. They won’t be disappointed.

Came in for a hair cut and shave, unfortunately the shaves are not available at present but that wasn't a problem. Guy seemed nice enough but the hair cut was terrible, rushed and was completely uneven and just a mess it will take me another few cuts to sort out what was done. Dissapointing experience considering the reviews.

I would recommend to anyone looking for a stylish and affordable hair cut to AVOID! I was not impressed with how the barber left my hair, Half cut, uneven and unstylable. However, the pricing was fair and before this incident was pleased with the service. Since then I haven’t returned and have decided to try one another barbers. I’m now content with the service and quality of hair cuts at my new barbers.UPDATE: To anyone reading this review and also the reply from the owner please read this update. The fact that he doesn’t display signage telling customers that he is recording private convictions and video and storing them for a long period should CONCERN you, I understand the fact that he should record CCTV.To address many of his points in the reply, I would like to point out that I didn’t leave the shop halfway through a hair cut as that would be ridiculous, ‘half cut’ meaning that the barber made one side of my hair shorter than the other, hiding the fact that he made a mistake under my parting, I didn’t know it at the time and decided to not return and try a new barbers in Chelston.The fact that I said ‘I didn’t have a problem and the service was great’ was completely ignored in his reply. Additionally, his tone in his reply was completely unprofessional and almost sounds like a threat. For that reason I am demoting my star down from ‘two’ to ‘one.I’m glad you have 16+ years experience but obviously not in dealing with complaints. I have the right to share my experience on this platform and tell potential customers how I feel.

I always take my son to general barbers ever since his first ever hair cut.He loves getting his hair cut by Zack , he is like his best friend . Zack knows how Michael likes to have his hair done.
