An historic bridge and well cared for by the READING Borough Council. There are two historic plaques, one original and one newer explaining the history of the Bridge.

It was nice to walk over Caversham Bridge on a week day. As it is more quiet. Still get the traffic. Nothing a lot of people about.

Lanes are too narrow for wide vehicles. There should be 3 lanes in my opinion.

Convenient bridge that allows to cross the River Thames without getting wet. If you're driving you'll also have time to enjoy the view of the river and of the swans while you're stuck in traffic.

Busy old bridge but a nice view up the Thames.

It's such a busy road-bridge but take a look either side and there's alot to see and do, if you just park up and stretch your legs for a few minutes. Aside from the gentle flow of old Father Thames, there's a community of swans, geese and ducks to watch, canoeists and rowing eight, and good walks.

Caversham is such a nice area to just walk through, especially along the Thames. The bridges add to the feeling by being nicely made with lights at night.

Good views from the centre up and down the Thames, but very noisy and polluted as a pedestrian crossing amongst heavy traffic
