We stopped here after seeing signs posted around Rutland Water. A charming little yard area right next the Cidery, with friendly staff serving food and drinks. Crêpes were a lovely touch and the cider is amazing!

Lovely lunch at Manton Hollow Cidery last Sunday, yummy Crepes, tasty baguette, washed down with a very good local cider, we tried both the dry and the traditional, both were very good. We stayed a while & enjoyed the laid back vibe, definitely recommend it

My girlfriend and I traveled to Manton for the Manton Hollow Cidery weekend ‘Lunch at the Cidery’ a few weeks back. We greatly enjoyed the whole experience: the cider, the lunch, the atmosphere, the place, the cider (which, yes, is worth mentioning twice). We had some of their baguette sandwiches for lunch and our fill of cider through the afternoon. I had the BLT - as good of BLT I’ve had anywhere. She had the aubergine and olive tapenade baguette for her lunch. The aubergine and olive tapenade really stood out. I strongly recommend this to both the meat-eater and vegetarian lunch goers alike. It was the cider we travelled for. The apples were grown locally. Charlie (the Ciderman) and co. pressed the cider at the site of the lunch. In the corner was the cider press, built by Charlie. The press is an interesting artifact. The design reflects how cidermakers of yore would have made their cider. As a history buff, I greatly appreciated this touch, and I enjoyed how much knowledge of cidermaking, from the science to its history as the beverage of England, that Charlie had to offer us.The cider is great. There were two varieties on offer - a sweeter one and a stronger one. We found both just right for what we wanted. A nice crisp drink without the acidity of the common ciders we find in pubs. We had a few bottles there and brought a few more home for our friends, family, and us. Never has lunch been washed down so nicely. It was a good wholesome atmosphere. Families, groups of friends, the locals and travelers all made it out to lunch on the picnic benches at the cidery. I like to do some cycle touring. The Manton Hollow Cidery lunch is exactly what I’d hope to stumble on out there on the road.10/10 - we’ll be back.
