Carlisle Mountaineering Club Hut
In 1972, I was at the Derwent Hill outdoor education centre( Sunderland). On this day we walked from there up Catbells in the snow and spent the night at the Hut-wow. We dug for coal,visited the huge salmon which were spawning, a hot meal and a sound sleep. always stuck in my mind and inspired me to continue to climb and walk to the day here in Australia, keep up the great work, great to see old fire stove!!!!
