I've used this place regularly over the years, but I've failed to get a decent fish and chips here for a long time , I no longer use it as the price doesn't match the quality of food presented, chips are soggy and under cooked, the fish is usually a small piece at top price, I'd rather travel to Builth wells or llandovery or even Llandod to buy fish and chips now ! Or just cook something at home myself !!!

Plenty of chips and a large pot of curry sauce, yum! Had some at lunchtime and ate them in the hotel garden, very civilised.

Arrived just before the evening rush, we were served immediately on entering the premises. The fish was well cooked but the chips, although cooked enter up a little soggy, possibly due to the vinegar.

Amazing chip shop! Always very busy which shows the food is good. Quick service and good food, and reasonably priced

Visited today on my way back home from a lengthy Motorbike Ride. Popped in for a bag of chips. A group were served before me and there was a couple behind me. I had a regular portion of chips. The price and portion was good but the quality was poor like they were cooked a lot earlier in the evening and there was a few black and bad ones in there. Being hungry I went out to the seating area at the back and noticed that the group before me had lovely chips and the couple who was behind me had nice chips. I think both of them was served by the man in the shop but I was served by an older woman. Wish I took a photograph to show you how bad they were. I left some of the chips for the crows as they were not fit to be eaten by people. Disappointed as Talgarth is one of my favourite places to visit. Being a visitor I think I was given the Left over chips not suitable for regulars and Locals. Very Disappointed.

I came late to order a portion of fish and chips. They were so flexible and went out of their way to prepare me the biggest and most delicious fish I have ever eaten. Thank you.
