Steven has done two types of surveys for us and both times I have been super impressed with the timescales, the levels of detail, the thorougness of the reports and his friendliness. He has reported on the symptons of issues as well as the causes and what remedial works are necessary. He and everyone I have spoken to @ SJM are friendly, efficient and fast. A real waste of money. One room has a floor with a 5 inch drop towards the window which was not picked up, despite the chap carrying a spirit level. It is so out of level that my office chair rolls downhill unaided.No effort was made to inspect a leaded flat roof, which leaked and cost £2.5k to repair. Yet I was told that I was lucky to have a lead roof".The ridge line is not level from the midpoint

Ordered a survey which was carried out nearly FIVE WEEKS AGO. Still have not received the survey and they are ignoring my phone calls and emails. AVOID!!!!!!!!

We instructed Richard (at SJM Surveyors) to carry out our Independent Valuation Report for Target HCA. I contacted Richard on a Thursday, and the same day he called me and confirmed he would be available to conduct the valuation the next Tuesday.Richard attended the property on Tuesday and carried out a thorough investigation, as well as answering all of my questions.We received the Valuation Report within 48 hours after his visit to our property. Richard is an absolute professional, and knows he clearly knows his trade inside and out.We could not recommend SJM highly enough, and no doubt they will be our go to for any surveying or valuation needs. A big thank you to Richard, and also Abigail (the administrative co-ordinator) who was equally as efficient and helpful.
