Excellent standard of care, from the surgeon, the nurses and the physios despite all of them being extremely busy.

I had a total hip replacement operation in May 2023 at Beardwood Hospital. The procedure was carried out by Professor Patel and his team. I cannot praise everyone involved enough. It was a total success, and after two years and nine months of pain, I am now free of pain and able to get back to a normal life.A massive thank you to everyone involved.

I Had a left total hip replacement after suffering with severe osteoarthritis for 3 years….:The procedure was performed by Professor Patel and his amazing team who I can’t praise enough. I was extremely anxious but all of the team were fantastic at putting me at ease. The procedure was over and done with in no time and I dont remember a thing. Then into recovery and quickly back to my room….all of the nurses, the pharmacist, physiotherapists and the lovely lady’s who brought food and drink were so supportive and very efficient making my experience far more pleasant than was expected. Im so grateful!!! Once I’m recovered I’m sure the procedure will change my life!

Professor Patel is such a lovely man he made me feel very at ease when I had my hip and knee replacements. They have both been very successful and hardly any scars. He talked me and my husband through everything that was going to happen and answered all our questions. Came to see me before and after the operations. Even came in to check all was okay on his day off. A great surgeon and a pleasant friendly man with a good sense of humour.

Dr K Patel has been fabulous from start to finish. He has communicated with me throughout, explaining the procedure and expectations. He has also liaised with the physio, Connel, who has also been very supportive, encouraging and informative. I have felt the care I have received from Beardwood has been seamless, the staff have shown genuine care and I would definitely recommend the hospital and especially Dr K Patel.

My time at Beardwood Hospital has been an excellent experience. Very quick appointment with my consultant who was reassuring and informative as to what was going to happen during my operation and afterwards. The doctors and nurses were helpful, cheerful and made me feel relaxed and comfortable throughout my stay .I felt I was well looked after and my recovery was quick . The whole experience was 5 star throughout.

Prof Patel was very efficient and explained what was going to happen before and after my hip replacement surgery. He made sure I understood fully what to expect and this made me feel relaxed about the procedure. He has a caring patient focused manner and even called in on his day off to check how I was feeling.Six weeks later I can’t believe the difference the operation has made.A big thank you to everyone involved.
