Llangollen Basin
A welcome end to a tence journey through the narrows. Well laid out with both mains hook-up and water on each pontoon for £6 for 24 hours. Lots of grass areas for a relax or a barbecue and a 10 minute walk to the town centre and the old Steam train station were you can take the old train to beyond the horseshoe falls. You can also take the horse drawn narrowboat from the same place you buy your mooring ticket.

Price has DOUBLED with minimal notice to potential visitors. The rate pays no heed to whether you desire the electrical hookup or not.£12 per night could be an appropriate charge given the location, but the CRT is allowing this to become a shambles despite the ££. Weeds, nettles and a lack of interest in maintenance abound. Benches and planters are rotting, there is one picnic table and barbecue stand.No sense of pride, no evidence of investment despite being a jewel of a location.

Fantastic facility for narrow boats and very reasonable. We stayed the maximum of two nights and explored the area thoroughly. Would recommend if you have 2 days to stay that long, there is just so much to do and see.

Just what you need at the end of the day I lovely mooring place. Lots of restaurants and pubs In the town Also you can take a nice slow walk up to horse shoe falls which is well worth the walk

Very nice spot, extremely popular. Ideal if you have your own bathroom facilities on-board. Water and electric hookups are also available.

Absolutely loved it here. So peaceful and beautiful views. Was an amazing experience. Only thing I'd say was a slight downfall would be to make it easier to pay for mooring maybe add a pay machine otherwise highly recommended

Very good moorings spoiled only by vandalism of the lighting on the footpath link in the town. If you do stop here make time to walk up to Horseshoe Falls, and the little extra to the beautiful little Llantisileo church.We're told that in January the churchyard is a riot of snowdrops. On a sunny but showery late September day it was a beautiful and peaceful retreat for this couple of atheists.

I enjoyed our stay at the basin.Great walks around there close to shops n pubs...I even had a tattoo in Llangollen..Yeah, great, friendly place to Moor for a few days... reasonable price too.

Great place to dock for the night or two to fully explore Llangollen. It costs just £12 for 48 hrs with water and power. Well worth it. We got the pleasure of listening to the nearby music festival from our boat.
