Whitburn Old Quarry
Beautiful seaside landscape with cliffs, caves, beaches and rockpools. Two large car parks which are pay and display and close at dusk. Plenty of grass for picnics and loads of picturesque scenery to explore. We visited as night fell and it was great.

Scenic, peaceful, quiet spot. Good for walks, runs, good to bring the kids around. Parking available.

Despite being 20.minutes from home it was my first visit here, cheap parking charge compared to many other places ive parked and only a 5 minute walk to the seafront, few caves and rocks in view and even a decent sinkhole on the clifftop

This is my preferred place for my morning walk with the dog. There is plenty of space to roam around and the coastal path is great. You do, however, have to look out for cyclists and runners, otherwise perfect.

Beautiful views, especially on an evening when the sun is setting over the lighthouse. You can get down the a pebble beach where there are caves and major signs of coastal erosion. Lucky to have such a beautiful coastline.

Stunning place for a walk or to skip some stones into the sea. Protected by the National Trust for our enjoyment.Carpark has 3 sections. 1 right next to Souter Lighthouse which is gravel and gets quite busy. The other 2 are down the road to the right when you 1st come into the site from the coast road (where the lighthouse is to your left). These are both tarmac and much less busy.Parking isn't free unless your a National Trust member.
