Broome Manor Golf Complex

Played the course today and can only describe it as shocking ! Uncut fairways getting flyers out of them, greens were bobbly and very very slow, again uncut ! The course looks very tired and tatty, no bins no ball washers ! Don’t waste your money here choose any other course in Wiltshire where they cut the course and take some pride in it !!!!

Good golf courses loved it recommend you get a buggy (you can rent for 25 pound) nice restaurant and very nice staff

So sad to see this place being seemingly run down. Was so much better when it was being run by the council. Greenkeepers should be proud of their golf course, but I’d be embarrassed with how it is currently being presented. What’s wrong with cutting grass? Almost couldn’t see my golf shoes for the length of the grass on the green. Not sure what’s going on as have read something in the press about some disgruntled ‘members’ not being happy with losing a 9 hole course. Well it looks like you’ve lost 27 holes to be honest! Spend your money elsewhere. Get far better value for money at somewhere like west berks. Forget the new 241 promotion they’re trying to promote-it ain’t worth 141! AVOID AVOID AVOID

Nice driving range, lovely courses 9 & 18 hole. Café has good range of food & drink (be nice if they always had soya milk in tho) Lovely way to spend time.

Great complex and you can see money is being spent on the course. The only downside is the number of areas on the fairway and greens that are under repair across the 18. Another note is the course layout is less than obvious if its your first time playing here which could easily be improved with signage.

Played the 9 hole course and 18 and disappointed with both. Unable to differentiate between the fairway and rough, bunkers poorly maintained and you have to tee off in long grass. Clubhouse and American Golf shop decent though

Pretty good municipal course, plenty of room to open your shoulders and give it some. Greens lovely to putt on. Fairways nice and well covered. Tee boxes seemed a bit neglected. It just seemed to lack TLC.

Paid £32 for a round where the tees are destroyed and a temporary green where I have to putt on a fairway. Most bunkers and surrounding greens under repair. Why can't they charge less if the course is sub standard?

Some of the best facilities for miles. This venue has a big Pro shop, great driving range and club house. Once on the couse you'll find it well manicured. The Greens were consistently good too. But the bunkers were consistently awful. It had rained the day before, all day. The bunkers are filled with sharp sand and this type of sand holds water. Sharp sand also likes to bind together and that is why builders use it under patios and in foundation work. It does not make good bunker sand as it has all the wrong qualities. They had not been raked for days and could not be with the rakes provided . Such a shame but hence 3 stars.
