Excellent homemade candy. The staff is great with kids. They are also helpful with tourists and gave us lots of ideas for our visit including the CS Lewis Park.

We loved the workshop! Chocolate tasted amazing and we could have bought the whole shop! We'll be back for sure!

I visited Aunt Sandra's, the cities oldest established Candy Factory (1985), on my trip to Belfast. It was fantastic as I have a sweet tooth and am of a generation that enjoys the classics like macaroon and raspberry ruffles. They have loads of home made goodies and you can watch them make it for free. They offer hard candies too, and even some mainstream branded sweets. It's definitely worth a vist.

We are visiting from California and we walked from City Center to this wonderful shop in East Belfast. The proprietor was wonderful. He took the time to explain about local history of the area. Guided us to a pretty famous point of interest that isn’t on the normal tourists guide book. The candy is outstanding and made with love. If you’re in Belfast and want to go off the beaten path do yourself a favor and pay them a visit. It’s about a mile and a half from the pedestrian bridge. The walk is a visual tour of the troubles both in war and peace. Again worth the visit.

Really wonderful experience here. I went by with two friends on vacation from the US and we wanted to find clove rock. They were super sweet to us, the candy was great, and when they saw us standing outside after purchasing candy, they came out and asked if we wanted to watch them make the new batch of lemon drops. We got to see and learn about the process and then taste the new batch for free. They even walked us outside after and gave directions to the public transport we needed. Definitely going back and I recommended supporting them by stopping by and purchasing some great treats.

Went today. No ‘wonka family’ greeting. Took paynent then we stood waiting for ten minutes. Toilet was in the workshop room which wasn’t great from a hygiene point. The place was shabby and felt threw together. The stools covered in Astroturf could do with replacing as they’re falling apart at the seams. We had to queue to wash our hands in what look like a pig trough and dry them with blue towel that was on the table with the food. The place felt dirty and the mismatch table coverings added to the overall unkempt feel of the shop. The paper plates had a grease ring from the chocolate. No pizzas were made, hot chocolate was poured onto the paper plates and allowed to dry as much as possible in the heat. The popcorn was stale and I think the kids should have been allowed to pick their own sweets. The ‘station’ for adding toppings to the marshmallows was two lunch boxes on a table. When Claire said my son had a delayed reaction that annoyed me for certain reasons. The prizes for listening to the history of the shop were sweetie lollies- not great!! Overall disappointing and underwhelming and not worth the money.
