We drove all the way to Glasgow to eat at Banana Leaf restaurant and decided to try this restaurant at Byres instead. We tried the banana leaf opposite double tree hotel in Glasgow and that left a really good impression and was really mouth watering that we wanted to come back for it. Unfortunately the food here did not taste as good as the other restaurant. Restrooms were cleaned. The service was excellent and fast!

This place has reasonably priced food that I am more than happy to pay for as it is authentic! The nasi lemak that I had tasted pretty much like back in Malaysia. The service was superb, too. I'll definitely come back here.

Big portion and fairly priced in my opinion. The taste is quite good considering we're in the UK :) The service is good and fast as well. Will come again for more ✅

Awesome food, was quite quiet when I was in but nonetheless service was good. Had lunch here and it was £11.50 for 2 courses and a drink with an additional £2 for a pint so considering you're in the west end...not many places you can go and get 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 beers for £27. Right next to the tube station too so easy to get to and then travel onwards and upwards

Came here Tuesday evening with a couple of friends because one really felt like something Chinese and Spicy. The interior of the restaurant had complementary mix of dark and light shades. With a clean separation between the shades, both modern and tasteful. I really liked the muted lighting and that way some of the spotlights shone on the napkins and cutlery set. That's probably just me.The group ordered 3 mains. Tofu with Eggplants, fine beans and lady fingers, Hot and Sour Soup with Mixed Seafood, Stir fried Seafood and Stir fried Eggplants for the side. All the dishes were excellent and the whole group finished the everything despite us not being big eaters. The flavour of the tofu with eggplants was especially nice as the taste of the black beans were intense complementing the curry sauce. None of the curry or spicy sauces were so overwhelming as to drown out the flavour of the other ingredients. The waiter was especially attentive throughout the 3 hour stay and was always happy to refill our water without being intrusive. And never showed any impatience with us despite the length of the meal.Overall, I found everything excellent. Having been to Malaysia, I would say that the food is definitely more Chinese than Chinese Malaysian. Excellent regardless.

Visited here for the first time with a friend to have some Malaysian food that I really missed from home. Ordered a Hainanese Chicken Rice and Laksa and both portions were very generous and extremely tasty. The man that served our table was also extremely friendly and welcoming.

The service is nice and fast, but food can be hit and miss.I would not recommend any of the sweet dishes, I ordered chicken breast fillet in crispy butter with yuzu sesame in lemon yuzu sauce. The sauce was in the middle of the dish, but it was also covering all of the food. I enjoyed the taste for the first few minutes, but couldn't finish the food as it was too sweet. On the other hand, egg fried rice was delicious and I heard good reviews about non-sweet dishes.

Really disappointed with the food, no flavour or taste, just really bland! They also should not advertise that the food is halal when there is a massive bar right at front, they also serve pork so not sure if halal food is cooked separately. Just a really uncomfortable experience and the place reeked of alcohol.

Friendly service. Authentic food, although some dishes were possibly invented" by themselves. The Hainanese Chicken Rice and Char Kuey Trow were true to form and well executed. Dishes took a while to arrive. But on the whole
