The Orchid Hotel

A beautiful hotel in a quiet location.Friendly staff and management and very well priced.They do an amazing breakfast to start your day.Would recommend it to one and all if you need somewhere to stay in the Bournemouth area.Close to all bus and train routes and taxis direct from the hotel.

Second visit as a guest although I did photograph a wedding here previously. Nice place and smart rooms. Restaurant very quiet and food portions miniscule. Staff were friendly on-site albeit struggled with capacity to offer receipts on site as their printer ran out of ink at checkout!!

We stayed here Sunday night 20th august and staff member David is the loveliest, kindest, funniest person I’ve met! He makes you feel so welcome and relaxed. What a star he is. Rooms beautifully clean, breakfast well organised and piping hot, the decor is lovely, and it’s just a really nice place. It’s very well looked after and managed.

BE CAREFUL!!! I booked this hotel 3 and a half months prior to my arrival date for an event that I am attended in the area. The management then informed me that they booked me in knowing that the hotel was already fully booked and they were hoping to fulfil my visit by somebody else cancelling?? Because nobody cancelled they then informed me of this and cancelled my room! Why accept a booking in advance knowing full well you have no rooms available? Upon further research, it looks like this is not the first time they have done this to customers. What an absolute shambles

I would like to thank Natalie and her team for making our wedding day so perfect. They all did an amazing job from the early planning right until the end. You are all an asset to the hotel.The rooms were very clean, presentable and spacious. The hotel is such a pretty place. The food was very good and the breakfast was great, all the staff was under pressure sorting our big day out but they all carried on faultlessly. Sarah was brilliant with helping us out with any problems. We really felt like the hotel staff was part of our wedding and that's what we wanted. Great value for money and went above and beyond what we asked for. So thankyou all from Mr & Mrs Pittaway

What an amazing hotel. The staff, the rooms and location are brilliant. We've visited as a couple and now as a young family and enjoyed our time on both occasions. Thanks Orchid for a fab stay, accommodating our needs and providing one of the best veggie breakfasts around.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 2 nights and for the price we were really impressed with the standard of this hotel. Staff were friendly, our stay was comfortable and it was nice they closed the entrance for safety unless you have a card at night.Our room was well decorated, the walls were a little thin but apart from that we were really happy with our stay! Breakfast had a lot of options.Would reccomend it to anyone that would like to stay in a clean hotel close to the centre of Bournemouth :)

Wonderful little hotel, super close to the city centre and the beach. The staff are very friendly, and the rooms were clean with sufficient amenities. Good value overall.

A gorgeous hotel within walking distance to the beach. The rooms were lovely and they have a outside garden were you can sit when the weather is good.Breakfast was included in the stay we had book and it was a lovely buffet and a good choice of a main breakfast.Staff were all friendly and welcoming.Thank you for everything, will definitely be back again!

Do not stay here. I saw the reviews and pictures online and decided to book this place. The receptionist and the service in general was great. I asked for one of their refurbished rooms as I had read in a previous review.Let's start with the problems. The room is much smaller than can be seen in the pictures. The thermostat doesn't work and just blows out air no matter what temperature it is. I went into the bathroom and realised the toilet seat cover was broken with a massive hole in it. I went into the shower and realised the head was broken, spraying water everywhere. The mixer was also broken, so I only got boiling hot water. The drain was clogged, so water collected at my feet. To top it all off, the first towel I reached for had some gunk on it.Do yourself a favor, spend a few extra bucks and get a better hotel from a reputed hotel chain.
