Scalpsie Bay Beach, Isle of Bute
Scalpsie beach in Bute was the perfect destination for a day trip with my son! The sandy beach stretches for miles, providing plenty of space for us to play and explore. The views of the surrounding hills and cliffs were breathtaking. We even spotted some seals basking on the rocks in the distance. The facilities were clean and well-maintained, and there was ample parking nearby. Overall, I highly recommend a visit to Scalpsie beach for anyone looking to enjoy a peaceful and beautiful seaside escape.

A lovely sandy beach with open views to the Isle of Arran and an excellent spot to see seals sun bathing on rocks. Bring lunch and deck chairs!

Gorgeous scenery and a stunning place to visit. Well worth the trip. Although if you can drive, I'd recommend getting around by car. Or cycling would be good too. You could walk if had a few days spare!!

Beautiful beach. Wild camped here in July. Felt very safe. Beach was quiet. You can walk right along to the seal view point too. There is no public bus to Scalpsie beach but you can take the red tour bus and it drops you close by.

a short walk down a well maintained path a d the beach opens up, trust me not to have my paddleboard as the water was perfect, very smooth and crystal. You ha e the added bonus of being able to see some seals lazing on the rocks or playing in the water. There is also 3 smashing, for rent, shepherd's huts with all the mod cons dotted just off the beach.A perfect place to lazy, kick back, head out and play in the water.

Brilliant sunny, warm and windless day. In paddling on extensive beach; a few people in swimming and claimed water 'quite warm'. Altogether more scenic than Ettrick although has no café and involves short walk to beach from car park. Highly recommended.
