Holly Lane Sports and Social Club

An excellent venue to host events of all sorts. But could improve with personnel treating with people of other colour well. This is my own opinion and experience. Stuff were very rude and lack customer care ethics. It does not take a lot to be friendly to guest especially when a venue has been paid for.

Well we had a funeral on Friday and we had the wake at holly lane, it's a beautiful big room, for any accation, wedding, birthdays wake's, and they have car boot sales I'm looking forward to going back, 10/10, thanks all staff that looked after us ,

What can I say I had my partners 50th birthday bash.. what a great night we had ... to the room and services by the staff ... the room was amazing .. thank you to the manger you run a great club ... I highly recommend people to hire the venue ... the room is very spacious and even room to dance as well a good area for food to go...Lots of love and see you all very soon Sharon and davd xx xxx

I've been here a few times due to training for my job. It's always clean and the staff are very friendly. The food is ok and very well presented. The prices are also quite reasonable too. The car park is free to use and there's always plenty of spaces. There is wheelchair access and there is also a sheltered smoking area by the front entrance. Holly Lane is highly recommended for everyone to use.

Went there a year ago to a car boot payed 1 pound to get in as someone is on the gate to take it of you to park went there the 3rd of August this year to watch a match and been fined £60 parking fee by smart parking ! Unreal and what a joke

Used the pitches here at the back for an U16s grassroots football match. Decent pitch. Parking is a pound for 5 hours so very reasonable.

Lovely, the room was great for the wedding, although up stairs, but they have a large garden, great for photo's

Went to a party here was nice room and plenty of space . Staff friendly . Only issue was it is upstairs and no lift . So had to carry up pushchair

This rating relates to Car Boot Sales only.This place used to be fab. Usually run very lively car boot sales on Bank Holidays which are brilliant. Easter Monday was beautiful weather and perfect day to do a carboot so we packed up the car and got there at the crack of dawn.It was a real disappointment. If you have a decent car, be really careful of speed hump and pot hole as you enter the field. My car took a big hit even though I was crawling. Good job its a right banger or I'd have cried.There were hardly any cars on field despite the glorious weather - everyone said it was badly advertised and I agree. We weren't sure and decided to chance it.It was £9 a car which is more expensive than the bigger bootsales. Happy to pay more to support local venue but not when it was entirely pointless.Hardly any customers either so after half hour we packed up and left and went to another one. Won't go there again and several other stall holders said same.Come on Holly Lane - what you playing at? You could be coining it in......what a waste!

Brilliant night for my daughter's surprise 40th Birthday. But no disabled facilities. Flight of stairs to room and my daughter's friend has a 11 year old daughter in a wheelchair.
