Mackenzie Way

Wouldn’t recommend Mackenzie Way if you were on the streets.Eviction notices due to my work closing during lockdowns and not being able to pay the full £500, so they got £425 instead. Completely un emphatic towards the situation & was met with comments such as “well it’s clear to see you have nothing” from Jane, when she was sat in my house. Changed my locks without me knowing & without any correspondence to let me know that it was even happening. The court hasn’t even granted an eviction notice as it wasn’t until February next year & I’ve been left with nothing but the clothes me and my daughter were wearing because I couldn’t get access to the house and was told they don’t have keys & that the landlord done it for “a reaction”. Sorry the only reaction you’re getting is a report straight to trading standards & the police for breaching the rent Scotland act for being aware that he changed them without an eviction notice. I was told I’d be informed about another flat that was within my price range but then told that it was obvious that it had gone on the market and that’s why I didn’t receive a call, and because I wasn’t in touch with them first that’s why my locks were changed. Absolutely disgusting.Avoid this company at all costs. By far the worst experience I’ve ever had with any private let, especially during covid when the entire country is struggling and you have people like Jane prancing in, demanding money that you’ve not got, representing landlords that would leave a mother & her child without any form of belongings 9 days before Christmas.Wouldn’t even leave them a star but this had to be said.

A very affordable and professional company to deal with. We sold our house within a week. Would not hesitate to use Mackenzie Way again or recommend them to friends or family. Thank you Jane and your team!

Honestly the best letting agents I've ever rented a property through.Every member of staff I have spoken to has been nothing but friendly and professional.Over the weekend, our heating went out, and within a half hour of emailing Mackenzie Way, a plan was in place to have it fixed.We have a young child in the house, and they have never once left us struggling, waiting for a repair.Staff work right up until closing, so they are always super easy to get a hold of if needed.After having some awful experiences with letting agents in the past, it is really nice to be renting a house from one who seem to genuinely care about their tenants.

To be honest the property that I was renting from mackenzie way was in a good area, they speak well on the telephone. Untill you ask for repairs needing done then they don't want to know. U don't get repairs. No deposit back. Then attitude whenever u call them. (worse agency that i have delt with). Be warned Not good.

Great little letting agent, friendly and helpfull staff. Obviously the bad reviews have something more behind them but i have been in my property over 4 years and have never had a problem bar once when i had no hot water for a couple of days but this was quickly sorted. Jane is super friendly and a pleasure to talk to. Cant really fault them at all

I viewed a property and was really interested. Was told that all interested parties were to phone the office Monday morning, and the girls would take all info and pass to Landord to review. This was to make it fair, as quite a few applicants. I phoned first thing Monday morning, left VM. No answer by lunch time so called back and was told she'd call me back ASAP. Still no reply by mid afternoon so called back again, only to be told it will be gone

Honest ReviewIt all looked and sounded great to start with, price was excellent and hassle free. Technically what is on offer by Mackenzie way is an eBay listings on rightmove - these guys are more a letting agency than a estate agent. Without putting the boot into a local business, all I’ll say is the service, pictures, advice and professional experience we received wasn’t the same as the enthusiasm shown by them. After our house was on the market for 3 months and very little viewers, we moved estate agent to across the road and sold our house in 5 days, we had more viewers in 5 days and sold over the excepted price. The moral of the story – you get what you pay for.

Completely disgusting how they treat the tenants in there properties you pay full rent and dont get any repairs etc done or even a response from them or the landlord then they try to get you to do favours etc for them and the landlord lol. Would strongly advise staying away from these amateurs nothing but stress. Would even give a star but need to so this is posted..

The Mackenzie Way's team were great, exceeded all my expectations. My house sold on the second week. I would definitely recommend them.

Left a few weeks without a shower over winter. Eviction notices while staying with family due to covid-19. When covid hit they walked in my flat with their own key while my girlfriend was in bed and confronted her about where I was.Unreliable and rude.
