St Gwynour’s Church

The church was built in 1850 in the Neogothic style,which replaced an old chapel of ease for Llanrhidian church.This church is the only spired church in Gower.The tomb of Captain Thomas Prance is located in the graveyard,he was quite a famous sea captain and customs officer of Penclawdd he died in 1837.The church inside has a lovely full size cross on the west facing wall dedicated to a young lady who lost her life in a car accident named Rebecca Evans,made by a local joiner.There are many other interesting features inside the church.

Lovely old church, a little out of the away as the sat nav not to be trusted. The Victor Tim is very approachable.
