Stumbled upon this place and like it so much we missed two trains back to Faversham where we were camping. Friendly place, I brought the bar man a lucky dip! Lost Lager in bottles for £4.50 and a good selection of keg ales and ciders. Highly recommended.

Excellent micropub and a must visit if in Whitstable. Landlord is welcoming and caring. Good selection of beers which rotate very frequently.

We popped into The Handsome Sam with friends before going for a meal in Whitstable. We were made to feel very welcome by everyone already in there. It is a lovely micropub serving a good range of real ale with the option of wine or spirits if you are not an ale drinker. We will definitely go back.

Great micropub with a choice of 4 beers. Friendly staff and more than friendly to dogs. Unfortunately my dog isn't friendly otherwise she could have benefitted from the treats on offer
