Inn at Aird a Bhasair

Fantastic rooms, very comfortable.Lovely service and good food, but a limited choice.Fabulous location if you want to be away from it all, but a lot of Skye attractions require a fair bit of traveling.

We were very excited to stay in this area, as we were going to catch the ferry the next morning. BIG MISTAKE.Staff is very rude, and not welcoming. We were in Room 1 and it had a very weird smell when we went in. Should have complained then, but did not. Room had so much potential as it was big, with a sitting area and great view. When we went to bed, found out that the bed was hard, and had sprung springs. No mattress pad, the sheet was directly on the mattress, and could read the mattress label through the sheet. Dust on the furniture, and mold on the walls. But the biggest thing is that when we took our showers the next morning, we found out that the water runs in around the tub surround and it extremally activated the mold smell. I physically got sick and had to get out of that room. My night wear from sleeping on that bed or room, smelled horrible. This place needs some serious upgrading. Breakfast was good. Location and parking are great. They are a mostly in the business for the their restaurant and pub. Spent way too much on this hole.

Overnight stay 14 - 15 Sept 2023. Twin room with sea view and separate lounge area, very clean and good size for the price. Evening meal fast service and clearly popular place to eat, (not included in room rate). Only downside might be location for exploring Skye as it is South on Sleet peninsula but suited us as it is a very quiet location with beautiful sea views. Excellent value for money.

Make sure to get a reservation ahead as they have a small kitchen! Everything was delicious and the view was beautiful! (We didn’t stay here as they were fully booked) Staff were very accommodating and friendly through the whole meal.

Lovely inn with a wide selection of food. The service was very good and the staff were friendly. It was dog friendly which was good for us as we were on holiday. Went back again as really enjoyed it.

Cool, no nonsense stop for a drink or food, just south of the ferry terminal on the Isle of Skye. They have a pub (or two) and a restaurant. The small pub we went to had a pool table and jukebox.

I have honestly never experienced such a rude member of staff in Stuart.Started with an error on our part with a reserved table but then it was just downhill from there. We were only reluctant to move as one of our party is disabled. Once the situation was explained we totally understood.Two members of staff were absolutely fine, but even then there were items on the menu that couldn't be served as listed. This wasn't explained upon ordering or when the food was delivered. We would have mentioned if the staff checked how our food was during the meal but this never happened. We brought up the issues when our plates were being collected and the named member of staff decided to rudely comment on missing elements of our meal, as if we were supposed to magically know, and just walked off without leaving us any chance to have a conversation. We weren't even talking to him and he could have very well left the situation alone if he was going to behave like that. He then, rather immaturely, refused to speak to us. I do wonder why people decide to work in customer service if they have such a short fuse.We visited in summer last year and the staff, one man in particular, were absolutely wonderful. This visit has left me feeling extremely uncomfortable.

Fabulous evening meal with lovely food and friendly/ attentive staff. Probably the nicest meal we had on Skye.Be warned in high season the restaurant books up quickly so book in advance.Recommended

Staff Member Stuard boyed (if I got his name right) immature with luck of customer service skills. When I tried to talk to him about unpleasant check in, he walk away shouting I can write complain.. I tried again to talk to him and he was shaking.. then again this same behavior.We had booked few rooms I would expect better service. Place seems nice but one staff member can ruin the experience to guests

Went for a meal and had the fish and chips. Fish 5*, chips were 2* very average. On the thin side and not particularly impressive. It might be incredibly busy but booking a table here seems extremely difficult and the timings are inflexible - often you are offered 6pm earliest which leads me to wonder if certain times/tables are kept back…….The demand is clearly there for great meals but it feels like they’re not staffed up enough so the kitchen apparently can’t cope with a certain volume of orders.
