Millside Canoe Hire

Had such a lovely time using the open top kayaks in Godmanchester. Andrew was very helpful and pointed out the best route for us to take! It’s a very picturesque area and already looking forward to returning soon!

We hired a 4 person kayak today with 2 adults, 2 children aged 13 and 11. We paddled via the back water and nature reserve stopping at Hartford Mill pub for a beer and reasonably priced food. We then went onto Houghton Mill where we went swimming in the lovely enclosed area in front of the mill. There was a coffee and ice-cream van there for anyone who felt the need!We then retraced our steps but went back via the main river, a bit hard going against the wind, but the whole route from start to finish was quiet and the scenery absolutely beautiful.I would highly recommend hiring from Millside canoes, the service was fantastic and we really had a great time!

An absolutely wonderful, affordable service to hire Canoes and Kayaks. The owner was extremely helpful and gave us the best directions to see the wildlife on the nature reserve.He made sure we had everything we needed, all safety gear and instructed us well. Even a little treat of sweets when we returned. A beautiful venue and a well ran service. This is the 2nd time I've been here and would highly recommend.

Brought my family of canoeing novices who had a great time. Andrew was very helpful in instructing my youngest on how to work the paddle and was very encouraging.We didn't make it as far along the route he recommended, but we'll be sure to book for two hours next time.

Impromptu kayak hire today! Very quick and easy to do, as well as very helpful staff! Beautiful 2 hours spent on the river! Memories made that shall not be forgotten! We will be back!

Hired 3 kayaks at such a good price. The owner was really helpful at getting us in and out of the water and gave us great tips on where to go along the river. Was our first time kayaking out of the sea and was just a quick trip. Already looking forward to returning next month for a longer session. Thoroughly recommended.

Fantastic canoe and kayak hire, canoe was well maintained. Customer service was excellent and flexible with our needs. Andrew suggested a nice pub on the river we could row too, where we had a nice lunch. Strongly recommended for a nice weekend adventure.
