Old Town Hall

Although now little more than a shell and a bell tower, it's known locally as The Locarno, due to it being refurbished as a dance hall by that name, in 1949.Although a fantastic stone building which many people want brought back into use, restoring it has proven too expensive for most. I suspect it would have to be dig down to the foundations, for a sympathetic renovation - which would cost a fortune. Someone might do it though: Swindon has precious few old buildings, due to its rate of growth.
