JAPCO Education is a fantastic way to study Japanese. I had been due to move to Japan before the pandemic delayed those plans, and so I decided to make good use of the time “in limbo,” and I have been taking the Intermediate Course for a few months now. In this short time, I feel I have improved considerably. Dr. Margaret’s lessons are fun, engaging and well-structured, with lots of practice in reading, writing, speaking and listening. They draw on a range of sources and go beyond the usual standard textbook approach. As well as the weekly 2 hour lesson, Margaret offers an additional 1 hour practice session, which has given me a great opportunity to better understand and process the materials from the lessons. The materials do stretch you a little at times (good thing), but it always feels manageable and within your reach. Margaret is friendly, approachable and good at explaining difficult concepts in grammar. She’s lived and worked in Japan for many years, as well as having a degree in Japanese as well as her PhD and teaching qualifications. Finally, the online lessons are flexible and very affordable. I would highly recommend studying with JAPCO Education!

I have been studying Japanese with Margaret for over 5 months. Margaret assessed my level when we started and tailored the content to my level. I can say that I have learnt a lot over this time and I noticed a huge progress over the time when I was studying by myself.As other people noted, Margaret has been very flexible and was able to reschedule some sessions, when I was not able to attend.I would highly recommend JapcoEducation and learning Japanese with Margaret Sensei to anyone!

Couldn't ask for more from JAPCO and Margaret. The courses were well put together and always enjoyable. I was anxious about learning a new language, especially a daunting one like Japanese but everyone at JAPCO made me feel very welcomed and there was always plenty of support. What began as a ''summer school'' for a holiday to Japan ended with preparing to take the JLPT N2.Would highly recommend to anyone looking to get into the language, whether you're a complete novice, preparing a trip to Japan or anyone with serious aspirations to study/work in Japan.

I had been casually interested in learning Japanese for many years, but I decided to join this course for the social aspect and the opportunity to speak Japanese with other learners. I was consistently impressed by the teaching and guidance, learning was made fun and was always relevant language for conversation. I also enjoyed learning about Japanese culture, traditions and celebrations during the course. Languages can be really challenging but you will receive wonderful support from a truly knowledgeable and proficient tutor - good luck and enjoy your experience!

Fantastic overall experience!I’ve been learning Japanese for around 8 months with Margaret Sensei and it’s been great. The lessons have been well paced, with enough time to ask questions. My Japanese has massively improved with the help of JapcoEducation.There have also been times where I’ve needed to rearrange lessons to work with my schedule and Margaret has been amazing at accommodating this.Definitely a 5 star experience! An amazingly paced course with exciting and well organised content and a passionate teacher that will always make sure to keep you interested by offering clear insight into real Japanese life and conversations! It’s not the usual monotonous lesson time you might expect, but rather interesting discussions in which you both get to know other people and successfully get to express yourself in Japanese! Really happy to have been part of Japco and I’m grateful for Margaret Sensei’s supportive and helpful study environment!

I would highly recommend JAPCO and the courses available, I have taken Advanced Beginner and Business Japanese and have found it to be a very enjoyable and comprehensive experience. The structure of the classes and Margret’s teaching methods were truly excellent at developing my understanding of Japanese. 100% recommended!

Incredibly helpful and always well organised with a clear syllabus. My level of Japanese has significantly increased and I was able to fill in the gaps in my knowledge from previous self-study. When preparing to take the JLPT exams I was provided with invaluable extra help and support.
