The London Leather Workshop

Although I’d some experience of hand-stitching leather, I’d never touched any form of sewing machine before. So there was a little trepidation in tackling an industrial leather sewing machine. However under Sara’s expert guidance, I was soon tackling all the fundamental construction techniques.I thoroughly enjoyed the two day course and would recommend it to anyone wanting to learn or improve their machine sewing. I left with the confidence to practice what I’d learnt on larger projects myself but that there is still so much to learn from their collective knowledge. So I will definitely be returning for further courses.

I did the professional leather work course with Sara in December 2023. I work as a prop modeller and needed industry standard instruction and guidance. Sara is a very patient and systematic teacher. I felt like I was in well informed hands. I would recommend the london leather Workshop as a leather supplier, tool supplier and place to learn.The workshop was warm and desk completely equipped. I was also given a few researched handouts.I feel emboldened to make more informed choices on my future leather project.It was fun too. I just wanted more!

Absolutely fantastic, punctual and professional.I took part of one of the Leather Workshops: INTRODUCTION TO LEARNING LEATHER CRAFT SKILLS. I couldn't be more happy about it.The teacher, Sara, was exceptionally skilled. She delivered the lesson very clearly and smoothly. Each student had a personal bench where to work from. All the tools were provided. All the questions were answered.I totally recommend everyone interested in the topic to take part of this.I will definitely come back for more classes!

It was really cool to be at The London Leather Workshop. The instructor have a good experience and knowledge of the art, for that reason I learn quite a bit, and at the same time was a good fun.

I cannot recommend the London Leather Workshop enough! I booked a private session to craft a card wallet for my wife. She had given me a number of different elements from different designs she had liked and Sara was able to help turn my rough and poorly defined vision into a beautiful reality. I'm incredibly impressed with how quickly Sara was able to create paper prototypes for what turned out to be a very complicated design. Sara also did an excellent job of providing a number of training exercises to practice using the sewing machine before I began work on the real product. Honestly, as someone who has never used a sewing machine before, I'm shocked at how well the end product turned out. Big thank you to Sara for her help and guidance!

I had a great time learning some leathercraft fundamentals today with Sara. I felt I was able to ask lots of questions and got really helpful feedback on my attempts. Would recommend the London Leather Workshop courses to anyone! I'll likely be booking another one soon!

Brilliant morning spent at Sara and Melissa’s atelier.Sara was great at explaining the techniques and methods and then gave enough space for us to practice them on some scrap pieces, but was there and attentive to any questions we had. Made 2 great pieces - 1 desperately needed wallet for me that I’m very happy with.All in all highly recommend their workshops. Grazie x

I can not recommend The London Leather Workshop highly enough. Sara and Melissa are incredibly talented, passionate designers and generous, supportive, student-focused uber-patient teachers who made the day a relaxed, stress-free experience. It was so much fun learning the technical skills and craft of leatherwork with the bonus of leaving with a finished practical bag. Whoo hoo, she's a beauty; thank you so much. The biscuits were great too.

Highly recommend it! Sarah and Melissa are lovely and very professional. Sarah guided through every step of the course brilliantly and made it easy for a newbie like me to learn both hand stitching and machine sewing leather. I attended 2 courses with The London Leather Workshop, designing a leather bag collection and professional leather craft skills. The two courses were absolutely amazing, Sara and Melissa's expertise is invaluable. the teaching is approachable, practical and technical. I feel that I have learnt so much already and can start implementing more fine tuned skills into my own work. Sara shared her expertise in how to treat / work with different leathers, I feel these courses have really opened up Pandora's box.
