Came across this store about 15 years ago and have never looked back! Love it! Probably the best hardware store in York, staff are always helpful and chatty, there isn't much they don't stock and the prices are reasonable. You will pay a fraction of the prices that you would at the big rip off DIY stores and 9/10 much better quality too.

WLD is a great place, one of the best kept secrets in York! It is housed in a former lemonade factory. Wow, such a great family business, operating in the trade and happy to welcome joe public. We have been customers for about 18 years. Every trip to WLD is worthwhile and fun. Arr, the magic of the lowest prices, great service and no-nonsense lay out.
