Brook Barn Canine Rehabilitation

It’s fair to say we do have a sensitive dog who has his own challenges but Hannah and Kim have been absolutely fantastic with him. They really bonded and made sure our dog was calm, settled and happy throughout. We have been going for hydrotherapy since November and our dog have come on leaps and bounds.If you could see the difference from our dog at the start to when he goes now. He’s confident, he’s wanting to go into the tank, he’s walking really well and overall really enjoys his time there. We’ve had so many challenges helping our dog settle into life since adoption but Hannah and Kim have made this process feel easy and made us feel incredibly supported!Couldn’t recommend enough! I understand having a dog with behavioural issues is hard and constantly trying to find the right environment for these dogs can be really difficult but honestly, Hannah and Kim are wonderful! Whenever the time comes, our boy is going to miss his visits to here.Thank you for everything x

I took Fred along for his first ever session with Hannah and Kim and they were brilliant. He's a very reactive dog and anxious, everything stresses him out, but they worked so hard to make him calm and comfortable. He didn't actually have any treatment but I'm sure he'll be a lot less worried when I take him back next week.

Hannah is amazing, she is a lovely person who is always so patient and caring with our labrador... who isn't always the most cooperative boy!She creates such a calm, relaxing atmosphere for both owners and their dogs. I always look forward to our visits and I can't recommend brookbarn highly enough!

Five stars are not enough! Before he sadly passed away in March, my beautiful boy, Jack, had been having weekly appointments at Brook Barn for about 13 months for hydrotherapy, massage therapy and acupuncture (depending on his needs each week). Without a shadow of a doubt, Brook Barn extended and improved Jack's life significantly. Jack's legs were pretty weak when we first adopted him, but he came on in leaps and bounds at Brook Barn and became stronger, happier and more confident, despite being an old boy (13/14)! Jack was quite nervous at first but he was soon made to feel comfortable and safe. Hannah, Kim and Amy (and the rest of the team) are all absolutely amazing at what they do and genuinely do care for each dog as if it's their own. They all have dogs with significant health problems so they really do know what they're talking about and understand exactly how difficult and dauting it can be. I have absolutely no idea what I would have done without all their help and advice, particularly in the last few weeks of Jack's life. Highly recommended!

We can not thank or reccomend Hannah and her team enough. Our Rottweiler Bella tore both her cruciate ligaments and had to undergo TPLO surgery on each rear leg 6 months apart. One thing to note about Bella is that she is extremely reactive. Especially with strangers and dogs. We explained this to Hannah over the phone and arranged a few meetings just to allow Bella the time to get know Hannah, and understand she wasn't a threat. Bella then started her hydrotheraphy and through Hannahs relaxed and experienced way of working Bella soon began to relax more in her company and on the treadmill. Hannah understood that Bella was touch sensitive and simply took her time to gain Bellas trust, whilst being aware of what Bella was and was not comfortable with. Thankfully Hannah was ultimately able to touch Bella and feel her legs properly whilst she was in the water. This meant Hannah was able to notice that things weren't quite right with Bellas second operation site. After numerous months of Hannah advising it felt infected, a week of antibiotics for Hannah to notice a week after Bellas courses ended that again it felt swollen, Hannah eventually wrote to our vet speculating she felt that possibly Bella was rejecting the plate in her leg. The vet agreed and we decided to remove the plate. I'm happy to say following the removal operation Bella is doing really well. Hannahs said the leg has never felt better and hopes that with just a few months of hydro to build her muscles back up she will be back to normal. We can't thank Hannah enough for having the patience to work with Bella. Had it not of been for Hannahs ability to get close to Bella to investigate her scars we may not have realised something wasn't right until it was too late. Bella now enjoys her visits with Hannah, or as she will forever be known to our family Pate Lady". Thank you Hannah for all your help and support."
