Our multi-year home lease through Hugh F. Shaw & Co was a very pleasant experience. Agents were available 24/7 to assist with whatever challenges arose. From unserviceable lifts to emergency maintenance during evenings, weekends and holidays, they were always available and took swift action to resolve whatever issue arose. Their genuine personal service included follow-up calls to ensure all issues were resolved to satisfaction. During the pandemic, they went far above and beyond what anyone could possibly expect of an Estate Agency and valued our wellbeing as if we were part of their family. We cannot recommend it highly enough. Mr. Irvine, Marc and their team were incredibly kind to us. Helped us throughout the 2y we lived in London and it made a huge impact in our experience/stay. They are straightforward when needed, but also very reasonable in dealing with day-to-day matters, for instance: We had an issue with the carpet and mattress of our bedroom. Mr. Irvine himself went to see and evaluate it, spoke to the landlord, and changed both free of charge. Simple gestures that make the entire difference. We could write a dozen more like these here. We are very glad to have met and done business with them.

Dealt with them for over a year and half as a tenant - great service and easy to communicate with. No surprises in the flat, no hidden charges etc. Overall, great people.

I cannot recommend this agency highly enough. They are not only unusually straightforward, frank and communicative but also effective. They have managed a rental flat for my family for decades and recently succeeded in selling my mother's house where, in an uncertain market, much larger and better known agencies had failed. They quietly take care of business without fuss or tooting their own horn the way so many estate agents do - and yet they are more experienced and informed than most.

Marc and Irvine helped me find my renting flat in Marylebone and were very professional and kind during my time living there. When I have a problem with the flat, they are super responsive to solve the problem and also try to find best solution tailored to my timeline for renting.
