Kevin Hastie's driving school

I highly recommend Kevin. He’s a brilliant driving instructor and I passed my test first time.It had been several years since I last had a lesson but Kevin helped me build up confidence and was always very calm. It was obvious that he had a great deal of experience and excellent knowledge of the local area and test centres. He’s a very professional, honest and reliable instructor who made sure I was well-prepared for my driving test and also made lessons enjoyable.

Had 2 lessons quite far apart with Kevin (DVSA backlog) then took my test a week after the 2nd lesson with his car. He's incredibly calm, poised and knowledgable and trained me up very well for what to expect and how to plan, prepare and strategise. Really appreciated his help and demeanour in the car bc it can be quite stressful but he's a very direct and calming presence. Passed with only 1 Driver Fault and I owe it all to him!

Kevin is an exceptional instructor who tailored each class so that I best develop the whole spectrum of my driving skills. As a result, I passed the exam first time.I tried three instructors before finding Kevin and the difference could have not been more prominent. The others either did not care or wanted to rip me off. On the other hand Kevin genuinely cared about me becoming a confident driver and was honest and fair throughout.I highly recommend him for anyone learning to drive!

I really enjoyed learning to drive with Kevin. He is an excellent instructor - patient, reliable and flexible with times - as well as being a very likeable person. He tailors the lessons so you can improve quickly and really seems to have a knack for putting you at your ease. I thought I would be nervous on my test but Kevin's calmness must have rubbed off! I definitely recommend him to anyone learning to drive.

I passed today after learning with Kevin and couldn't recommend him as an instructor enough. He's calm, measured, and follows a clear and straightforward method to build confidence toward the test date you have. I'm writing my review after passing, but my recommendation is not conditional on that detail. If you'd asked me during the learning process I would have given exactly the same answers. On a personal level, Kevin is kind, interesting, and a thoroughly decent guy - spending a block of time with him was always enjoyable. If you're learning in the areas he covers, look no further!

Kevin was a brilliant driving instructor and I passed first time, which I couldnt have done without him. He was patient and reassuring when teaching and, when I made mistakes, he'd always calmly explain where I went wrong and, if possible, would let me try the turn/maneuver etc. again, which gave me a chance to better my attempt and left me feeling more confident in my ability and learning. What I also really liked about Kevin's lessons was that they weren't only focused on the test and passing but on instilling good driving habits and teaching you how to be a safe driver overall.Kevin is also a funny and an all around great guy and the lessons always went by really quickly. He was flexible, punctual and knows North London and the test centre areas like the back of his hand. I would highly recommend Kevin to any learner drivers.Thanks so much Kevin, hope to see you around the area soon!

Kevin is an excellent instructor. I am by no means a natural driver but he was extremely helpful, friendly, and patient with me throughout. He instilled in me good habits for driving, he helped me become familiar with the main test routes, and he put me in the right state of mind on the day of the test. Thanks to all this, I passed on my first attempt. I wholeheartedly recommend him to everyone who wishes to learn to drive.
