Leeds East AEGIS Martial Arts Academy

I have been training at Leeds East Aegis for over 4 years now and the classes are great for fitness, making friends, confidence, stress busting, having fun, exercising in a supportive environment and much more. Everyone is so friendly and its great to see people of all ages training together and supporting each other, which makes it a very family friendly academy. I cant thank the instructors, Master Foulds and Master Gibson, enough for their support throughout my black belt journey not only in classes but off the mat too. I hope to train at the academy for many more years and can not wait to see where my Aegis journey will take me next! I would definitely recommend joining Leeds East Aegis

Cannot recommend enough for young children, families and adults. The instructors are qualified, knowledgeable and professional - taking time to get to know their students and help them get the best out of their training. The AEGIS martial arts system is designed to improve both the physical and mental. It's not all kicks and punches. It's confidence, self worth, focus, respect...

My granddaughter Sophie attends Leeds East and we have seen so many improvements in her confidence, her discipline, and her general well-being since she started. She now recognises that hard work is worthwhile and reaps rewards, but she also understands that new skills do have to be worked at, and don't just 'happen'. The instructors really bring the best out of her and her classmates, being supportive whilst maintaining high standards. Her younger sister is eager to start as soon as she is old enough, because she sees the way in which Sophie enjoys every session, and the happiness that comes from a successful grading ceremony. My son has attended Aegis for over a year and absolutely loves it. The instructors are professional and work extremely hard to educate all the students regardless of ability. Aegis has enhanced my sons confidence and focus.

Great academy for martial arts classes aimed at all ages. My boys have been attending the positive starts program for the youngest ones for several months now and they have been enjoying learning about martial arts as well as, discipline, focus and self confidence. Teaching to children sometimes younger than 5 year old is not a simple tasks but Master Foulds and Master Gibson have a great way of communicating with the children and keep them engaged.The lessons have always an element of fun and the results do show. Today my little girl joined in for the first time after months of watching her siblings from the side and she absolutely loved the class.

Our 4 year old son has just started classes and we can see a difference in his behaviour, attention and patience. He loves attending and learning new techniques each week. Highly recommend.

We have been part of the academy for 4 years and, although it's always been a positive experience, it just keeps getting better. The quality of instruction, the verbal explanations and the physical enactment, are so well adapted to all the ranges of mastery in the class. The expectation of discipline is high but the delivery is done in a personable manner. I cannot recommend the academy highly enough, whether it be fir developing martial art skills or for increasing fitness and dexterity, it fulfils its promise

My son started here over 2 years ago and still loves it. I started just over a year ago and alongside my training within the program, I am also training as CIT to be an instructor. The classes are hard work but extremely enjoyable. There is a great atmosphere on the mat amongst the students. Both my son and I would highly recommend the school to anyone interested in building confidence, self esteem and learning life skills through martial arts.
