Carterton Football Club

I'm sure some of the teams at the club must be OK but others waste no time taking your money and don't actually train the kids they might as well just have a kickabout at the park. Lots of rumours around about how they went bankrupt last time and I don't know about any of that by my experience has been pretty terrible and I should have seen the talk as a warning flag. I can't speak for every team but definitely think carefully before handing over your money there are other local clubs offering a lot more in terms of training and development for a similar price. Definitely try before you buy at least. Go to some training sessions and watch what happens before you commit yourself to anything. I wish I'd done that.

My boys loved playing football here. Downside is expensive food and drink. I paid £2.50 for a hotdog which came from an 80p tin of hotdogs.

It has great potential as a football club more pitches and more teams all ages groups.

Very tricky to find due to restrictions on the housing estate. Facilities medium at best. Cant comment on the quality of the coaching.

It's one of Oxfordshire's better appointed non league grounds.

Excellent facilities, hot, cold drinks and bacon sandwiches along with a good selection of cakes available during matches.

Great if you're looking for a social club - focused on drinking/bingo etc. Prices are high but the community is active. Terrible if you're looking for training/development for the youth game. Depends what you're looking for. 5 stars for the first, zero for the second.

A little tricky to get to but the pitches were amazing! They have clearly invested a lot of time and money into their grounds and it is a pleasure to experience that quality at a junior football level.

The club needs new signage indicating the access road. Not as difficult to find if the sign was opposite the Swinbrook Park estate entrance. Looks to be a great pitch. It needs to promote itself more, it's now on the outskirts of 2 large estates with untapped markets. World cup is upon us, but is the bar being opened for games? It could have been a financial boost to the coffers. I applaud the people resurrecting the team, and hope their efforts pay off. Try taking a risk during the next season, open the bar and ADVERTISE that it's open. You may drag some people in.

My boy plays for the under 11 team. Fantastic group of lads, great training and coaches. Great atmosphere at the matches. We can't wait to get back at it after lockdown
