Had my first visit to Loopys yesterday for a sewing class. Great experience Jane is an excellent teacher and I learned so much. I would highly recommend a visit

I was given a sewing machine for my birthday 3 years ago and hardly knew how to use it let alone make anything. I decided to have 1 to 1 lessons with Jane in January. She is a great teacher and I have made so many lovely things. The lessons are very relaxed and with Jane's patience, support and expertise my confidence has really grown. I look forward to our lessons every week.

I booked some one to one sewing machine lessons with Jane as a complete beginner and she’s a great tutor! She showed me everything I needed to know in relation to setting up the machine, how to take it apart and clean it and how to use it for various different purposes. I learnt how to make a bag, a zip pouch, a cushion cover, a drawstring pouch and buttonhole pockets, all in 3 days! Her studio is lovely and well equipped.I feel a lot more confident using a machine now and even went out and bought my own! Thanks very much Jane for all your help! I’m sure I’ll be back for some more sessions ☺️

Jane helped me to get to grips with my terrifying (!) overlocker through a one-to-one session recently. We covered a tremendous amount of ground and I have consequently been furiously sewing away on said machine to produce a couple of warm, stretchy dresses for the winter. I also had a great deal of fun as Jane definitely tuned in to my sense of humour! As a result of the positive outcomes from this session I arranged another session with her to remind me ofbasic maintenance routines for my standard sewing machine. I should add that I have been a (reasonably) competent home sewist for over 45 years, but there are always new skills to learn, old ones to brush up on, and knowledge gaps to fill, and Jane certainly tailored my sessions to suit my requirements relating to these. I would highly recommend her services to sewists of ALL levels.

Recently I went to Loopy's Place to attend the class Patchwork and Quilting for Beginners. I had an amazing time and learnt so much. I loved how the class was delivered in a step by step manner and Jane was great at answering any questions and helping me when I needed. I came away with a cushion cover that I'm very proud of for my first attempt. I would highly recommend you take one of Jane's classes, she is an amazing teacher.

Having not used a sewing machine for some time and never used one to do quilting or patchwork I was nervous booking this course but Janes welcome quickly reassured me. We worked at my pace and jane was knowledgeable and always ready with support when ever I needed it. The facilities were perfect I would definitely recommend and I will definitely be back!

I have now had 2 classes with Jane. From not ever using a sewing machine to making a quilted bag, Jane has given the best advice. She had the patience of a saint and is very knowledgeable. Cannot wait for further classes x

If anyone needs a proper,old fashioned ironing board cover, this is the place to go.. made to measure for my rather odd shaped ironing board…really well padded in thick heavy cotton it is just perfect.. and dare I say.. makes ironingso much easier and enjoyable… I had given up hope of ever finding the right one and I am SO glad I did..Thank you so muchSP
