Founded in 2015 by artist Imogen Charleston, Moon Studio Ceramics is situated in a converted barn, between The New Forest and Avon Beach, on the outskirts of Christchurch, Dorset. Imogen offers a variety of pottery tuition to suit all ages and abilities.

Imogen was a fantastic teacher, she was clear on how to improve and we all made fast progress throughout the day. It was very hands on and we had lots of time to experiment and practise. By the end of the day we had a great selection of pieces and I'm looking forward to seeing how they come out of the kiln in a few weeks time!

Excellent day on this one day potters wheel taster. Imogen is a great, and patient, tutor! There was lots of time using the wheel, and we all had one each. I made about 8 or 9 things and we chose 3 each at the end to be fired and take home in 6 weeks. Great fun!

We had no pottery experience but really enjoyed the raku workshop. Our teacher was great, answered all of our questions and our pots turned out great!

Had an absolutely brilliant morning. Booked as a treat to celebrate our friends birthday. Imogen was friendly, engaging and very patient and informative. We all produced some brilliant pottery on the wheel and by moulding (which was a miracle to us all :)).Would have no hesitation in recommending for a fun, relaxing treat.

My husband and I bought each other the pottery throwing taster for our birthdays. We spent a very enjoyable morning learning new skills at the wheel, guided by Imogen who was very friendly and patient. I would highly recommend Imogen’s classes at Moon Studies. We will be back!

We went as a group to celebrate a friends birthday. We all had a fantastic evening, being shown and supported on making and decorating our pots. So good to see everyone's efforts. Well supported by Imogen throughout especially when working on the wheel. Cant wait to see the final results will be having another get together to see what we have produced. Thank you Imogen

Thank you Imogen, the three of us had an absolutely fantastic time at the pottery taster session, it was so much fun. We would highly recommend these sessions as Imogen is a wonderful, patient teacher whose enthusiasm is infectious and helped us discover our creativity.
