I went into the shop the other day, there was a few composing fish in the tropical section of the shop and then I went to the cold water section and the fish don’t really look like they are taken care of professionally. I hope this honest review helps this business out in the future when I go there.

I purchased a second hand fish tank back in January 2021 and wanted it drilling to use with a sump.They told me at the shop on purchasing the tank that they could offer this service but would have to wait 8 weeks for the sump to be made and installed into the tank Cabinet.I'm still waiting for ocean bay aquatics to deliver what they have offered me and have taken my money for its now end of April 2021.I visited the shop several times to see if it will be ready and just been told a pack of lies why I am still waiting.Today I visited and said I would take the tank and wanted a refund for the sump they are supposed to be making.I was told that they cannot issue a refund and said to contact on Facebook which they are constantly ignoring me on.I was then contacted back and told to meet at 8pm at night at the shop after asking for my money back seems very Dodgy to me and feeling abit intimidated.On my opinion I would recommend not dealing with this shop as customer services are non existent only left a one star to leave a review.

Friendly staff, great choice of marine and tropical fish as well as the necessary items for the upkeep of your aquarium.

Travelled from Hull to have a look at their stock and I was absolutely amazed by their selection of cichlids. I will definitely be back again for more.

Ocean Bay Aquatics have recently reopened to the public after relocating from their premises in Cleethorpes,they are now in the shop which was previously sixhills aquatics on Hainton Avenue in Grimsby.They have been busy remodeling the shop and opening up the available space.The shop has three areas one devoted to tropical marines and coral,with a nice marine display aquarium and coral tables,the second area is freshwater tropical and lastly a cold water and pond fish and plants. They have a good selection of marine fish and hard and soft corals and the choice of freshwater fish is reasonable.They have a small selection of dry goods and equipment on display at present.Some areas of the shop are still work in progress at present, but my first impressions are good, with everything looking healthy,the staff were friendly and helpful. The shop has good wheelchair access but parking space is limited,credit cards are accepted here.Update October 2022.I paid another visit today,I was very surprised with the outcome, the large selection of coral and displays have gone and repurposed into freshwater tropicals chiefly Malawi cichlids, however they still have a reasonable selection of marine fish.

i love this place will never go any where else for my fish,cheapest and best water around ,the kid thats in on sundays is full of knowledge and amazing advice
