The Venue Huddersfield

The venue itself is in a good location, staff were prompt if not always pre-emptive and there are options for activities, seating etc. Food was OK, but only OK. Drinks were reasonably priced. Feels a bit put together rather than finished off. Need more non metal chairs. They may look fancy but are in no way comfortable.

Fantastic food with great service and a gorgeous beer garden. We will definitely be back. Me and my friends had 2 courses for £15 which came with a glass of wine. What a delight! Highly recommend.

Best thing about here was its surroundings.nothing like the pictures online for the serviced apartments" that are not serviced. had to wait 10 mins in the rain for them to open the door to be told no food or drink been severed until Thursday(arrived sunday). These are student accommodation halls. only learnt that of the taxi driver. but they is a kitchenette in the apartments I wouldn't leave my dog in there it was filthy no where clean all dinnerware left on side dirty from previous or people already staying. so nothing to have a cuppa in

Great place and even better staff. Attended a hen do here and the venue" was ideal. Had a room to ourselves to decorate and play games

Terrible place looks like an ex army camp, rooms are basic but comfortable and relatively clean, there is a kitchen that is shared between 7 rooms not ideal. If I wanted self catering I would have booked for it but I didn't. So nowhere to eat breakfast or dinner from Sunday afternoon to Thursday no one to greet us doors locked and we were left outside in the pouring rain with our luggage having to bang on windows to get someone's attention. Some of the rooms are 3 floors high and no lifts nearest place to eat is a mile away so if you don't drive don't bother coming here I personally won't be returning here anytime soon its also very overpriced for what it is I would advise you not to waste your money here.

I would give this place a solid 2.5.PLEASE NOTE: these are college dorms/uni flats. So if you’re thinking hotel, no. Its not that. The door to the bathroom didn’t close, the toilet paper roll holder didn’t stay on, no fan, no AC (which normally wouldn’t be a big deal but it was the hottest day of the year while I was there), and the bed was a flat white sheet on top of a mattress. No fitted sheet, no mattress topper lol. Super duper small room, and I was hoping to do yoga in there while I was there. But not enough room.The first day after I arrived I walked into the kitchen and right in front of me was an older gentleman in nothing but his tighty whitey UNDERWEAR getting tea. It was a sight. I didn’t spend a ton of time in the kitchen after that.You can’t control the temperature on the shower.The cleaning people do not clean the room while you’re staying in it. So that’s a thing.The restaurant is also nice, but they only serve brunch on Saturdays? Not Sundays.The one thing that is nice is the trails around the venue are really nice for walks and hikes! Especially dog friendly! Also, I was able to do my laundry with relative ease. So that was nice. And parking is free, so that’s a plus as well.

Great venue for weddings and any celebration. Numerous accommodation offers. Excellent food and drinks are available in a number of different bars and restaurants.

Well, what a surprise this place was. I had a voucher bought for my birthday by a relative (who also bought a voucher), otherwise I’d never have thought of coming here. None of us (4 people) had been here to eat before, but we were really pleasantly surprised by the friendly atmosphere and the varied menu … I could have chosen anything (because I liked everything) and enjoyed it.The decor isn’t cosy and romantic, but if you want a good night out with very reasonably priced food and drinks, The Venue is a good place to go. Try it !!

The Bonfire effect was great everyone including the children had a great time. There was fire hazard everything was awesome. So much engaging activities . I recommend
