Bearfoot and beyond

My two sons age 9 & 11 attended a summer camp last week and had an incredible time - thank you to Rhys for his knowledge, fun and energy enabling my children to have experiences that I cannot provide. They came home with mallets and bow drills that they’d made which had obviously been successful given the smell of fire smoke on their clothes. Mud faces on tree trunks, den building, toasting marshmallows ...the list of memories and grubby smiles goes on. If your children enjoy the great outdoors then this is an opportunity too good to miss! The area of woodland used is roped off per family bubble to ensure social distancing is maintained.

Had a great time here with university doing a team building exercise with the 1st, 2nd and 3rd years! Had a lot of fun in the outdoors, making dens and learning skills like fire building! Learnt some very valuable skills and had a great time! Cannot recommend Rhys enough he was great really engaged everyone and got us all involved which with a group of 20 year olds can't the easiest of tasks but he did it with ease. Would defo recommend!! Thank you Bearfoot and beyond!

My son and daughter attended the Bearfoot and Beyond Summer Camp last week and absolutely loved it. Rhys kept them engaged and entertained all day every day and they came home happy and exhausted every afternoon. They loved their adventure in the woods and I would highly recommend it.

Attended a team building activity with my university. Had a great time building dens, learning how to start and maintain fires. The activities allowed us as third years to interact and build relationships with first years which we most likely wouldn’t have done otherwise. We also got the opportunity to take part in a bush tucker trial type game where we all ended up pushing ourselves to try eating bugs if we were terrified. Rhys was extremely encouraging and supportive even when we were useless at some tasks! Overall had a great day and would definitely come back again!

My students and I had an awesome time with Bearfoot and Beyond for our team-building forest-based induction activities in September 2019. Third year students buddied up with new 1st years in den building, flag stealing, fire lighting, chilli cooking and bush tucker trialling. Made a refreshing change to the usual..........

Had a very enjoyable experience when spending the day at Bearfoot and beyond experience, as part of a team building day with colleagues from the University of South Wales. The day comprised of exciting outdoor activities/skills both adults and children can enjoy such as den building, fire starting, wood cutting and even toasting marshmallows on the fire pit. I would recommend Bearfoot and beyond experience to anyone, regardless of their age, with the experience being both educational and enjoyable.
