The Sanding Man

I would highly recommend this company.They have just restored our 1950s parquet flooring in the hall and lounge.It now looks fabulous just like new.Everyone is totally professional Alan, Elaine, Grant, Dom and Zak...Thank you so much, we really appreciate the work that's been done.

Charming sales guy, one of the best (another reviewing calls him a conman), but that is where the positives finish. The workmanship was atrocious. They cut corners until they were pulled up on it, so you can not leave them to do a job.They damaged areas that were not meant to be sanded.An expensive quote does not mean you are getting craftsman or even skilled people who are able and care (importantly) to do a good job. IMHO these people will cut every corner they can. They probably don't mean to but cant help it.I would not trust them to sand a log.If you found this review then you can probably find an alternative sander who may not over charge and really cares about doing a good job. If you do use them get an friendly expert to supervise/review the work before paying otherwise as an honest Joe you will be talked into handing over your hard earned cash for a potentially shoddy job. Be prepared to be let down.

The whole service was very professional from the initial visit through to the actual work. We are delighted with the finish on our newly sanded floor which included some repair work. The staff were all a pleasure to have in the house. We would definitely recommend the company.

AVOID AVOID AVOID this cowboy conman. He gave a reasonable quote for sanding & varnishing my neighbour's living room solid wood floor. I thought the quote was fair so I had him over to quote the same for my living room floor. My neighbour and I have the exact same house, exact same floor plan, exact same floors in the exact same condition, yet my quote came back £500 higher than hers - for the same work! Suspect he saw nice cars in our drive and quoted according to what he thought we could pay. Needless to say, I didn't have the work done. My neighbour went ahead and was very disappointed with the result. Save yourself from being ripped off and receiving poor quality work, go somewhere else.

Just had this company in to restore our oak floor in our living room after our cat had spoilt it. I have to say I was slightly dubious after using them after reading some of the reviews on here but they could not be more wrong!!Every person I spoke to/dealt with was professional, helpful and actually really lovely!! They were extremely quick in dealing with my requests (came out same day to have a look, we’re able to fit me in the following week to get the job done) arrived promptly for initial assessment and to carry out the work, work diligently and tidily-they even dusted (though there was hardly any mess!!) and did everything with a smile on their faces! I’m just thrilled with the result and the whole experience. Can not recommend them highly enough.Special thanks to Dom, Alan, Elaine and especially Zack, you have made this a pain free experience, thank you.

We are delighted with the staff at the wilmslow and Chester branches.They were so helpful and knowledgeable with regard to wooden floors.We have been fortunate in having Dom who came to measure up and give us lots of advice.He has been with us for the last two days and worked so hard and nothing too much trouble.The finish on our floors are superb and looks like a knew floor.Thankyou to all at your company for fantastic service and we would highly recommend you.Yours Sincerely Mr&Mrs White.Mobberley.
