Outdoor and Country, Chester

I visited the Chester branch on Saturday afternoon to browse for a new winter jacket, I was greeted by friendly staff who were happy to go above and beyond for anything I asked for. Both customer service and products were second to none, I will be back for more shopping on my next visit to Chester.

I love this shop! I’m a regular customer at Outdoor and Country in Chester because not only do I love the clothes, shoes and accessories they stock, but they have the best sales team and customer service hands down! In particular, Jules, Luke and Ashleigh, who always greet me with a smile and look after me like a long lost friend or family every time I go in. Last week, I went in to the shop as I decided to treat myself. Jules and Luke served me helping me pick out 2 new pairs of Holland Cooper jeans, jumper, hat and Barbour gloves. Jules and Luke were SO helpful and even gave me the confidence to try a pair of brown leather look jeans I would never have dared try on! But everyone has since commented on how lovely they are and asked where I got them. Especially my partner who also can’t thank Jules and Luke enough LOL ;) If you’re ever in Chester, you MUST go! Thanks to Jukes, Luke and the whole team for always looking after me and making my shopping experience a great one!

One of the few shops left on the high street that offers genuine customer service.Jules, the manageress’ knowledge of the products she sells never ceases to amaze me; always some words of advice like “those come up a little small so take a size up”, “I’d recommend this for X, Y & Z reasons” - it’s customer service that is so often lacking elsewhere. She and the whole team are a credit to the company. Thank you yet again.

Big thanks to Ashleigh and Luke for being absolute superstars. They provided a fabulous customer experience that is very welcome (and lacking in most places) nowadays.Along with engaging conversation, they quickly and efficiently resolved a sizing issue with a purchase. I can absolutely recommend this store for all your outdoor and country wear needs.

I've visited outdoor and country half a dozen times in the last few years, and it's quickly become my favourite shop for any outdoor wear. I won't go anywhere else in Chester. Joules and Lynne are always so helpful and friendly. Joules particular knowledge of products is second to none, and FAR more helpful than even the Barbour stores themselves. I'm always made to feel welcome in the shop even when I haven't gone into buy anything. It's actually one of the few decent shops left in Chester, with real customer service.

Great service, they didnt have the jacket I wanted so Jules the store manager arranged to get samples sent into store for me to try. These arrived promtly with a call from store to inform me. Went in tried and purchased. Good old fashioned service with a smile and banter. Certainly suggest you try them for your outdoor clothing.

I went into store earlier this week with a “made to measure” Barbour I needed adjusting. I was advised to return on Saturday and speak to Jules as she would be able to advise. Jules help this morning was second to none. She looked at my current jacket and measured and compared to standard fit, and it seems that Barbour hadn’t given me a made to measure at all. Jules talked me through the fit of the off the peg wax jackets and helped me find one that fits perfectly and that I will actually wear! She has great product knowledge and superb customer service. (Just a shame that Barbour themselves didn’t and can’t meet her standards.)

Relax atmosphere really good lighting for getting a good look around I think they were between stock summer and autumn stock so it seems very bare in place but managed to hide it by spacing stock outBut overall good service and good products

Jules and the ladies in store are phenomenal! As a rounder, 40 something they were so welcoming. Jules with her obvious wealth of knowledge, helped me find the perfect Barbour & other items. Loved the honest opinions of everyone to help me invest wisely! Thanks to Jules & team im loving my new found country style confidence.
