Anita was recently our celebrant for our wedding in Scotland and she was fantastic. We had several really enjoyable conversations with her over Zoom before the wedding and she then shared a questionnaire for us to fill out, which we really enjoyed doing. She then suggested we wait until the day to hear her speech, and we're so glad we did. Hearing it for the first time on the day was so much fun and really quite moving - she did an incredible job with it. She captured our personalities and our story superbly. The audience were completely engaged throughout.We were also blown away with the effort and research she put in during the process. My wife is from a different culture to Anita and me, but Anita clearly did tonnes of homework and kept suggesting new ceremony traditions from my wife's culture, or referencing the names of things in the other language.Anita also dedicated a huge amount of time to ensuring everything on the day ran smoothly, from doing a step by step run through the day before, to bringing up a portable speaker and microphones, to filling in my best man and master of ceremonies on the plan.We highly highly recommend Anita for anyone who wants a fun, personable, engaging, organised celebrant. We got married on Brighton Bandstand but when planning our wedding we knew we wanted a space in our day to feature our buddhist values and to celebrate the love of our family and children. We began the search for a celebrant and when we read Anita's 'get to know me' page on her website we were excited to make the first call, if you haven't seen that page on her website we recommend you check it out! Anita listened carefully to what mattered, we talked to her about marriage feeling like a ribbon that tied us and our family together, when she heard this she shared some beautiful ideas about how we could symbolize this in our ceremony. Anita helped us to put together a beautiful hand tying ceremony and we finally discovered where the phrase 'tying the knot' comes from! We have two young daughters and Anita helped us incorporate their shared interests and passions into the ceremony creatively. We live by the sea and Anita suggested that we could symbolize our family connection with different coloured sand for each of us and our daughters, as once sand mixes it cannot be separated, our youngest daughter had great fun pouring the colourful sand into a beautiful jar that we now have sitting in our living room - at the ceremony the sand went everywhere and gave our guests a lot to laugh about! To get to know us, Anita sent some questionnaires for us each to complete, some questions were deep and meaningful, others were light-hearted and frivolous, she took our answers and what she had gleaned from our conversations with her and wove it all together into a beautiful narrative about us and our daughters, that was shared with our friends and family during the ceremony. One of the most meaningful parts for us was that she invited us to complete some questions independently of each other so that the answers could be a loving surprise for each other on the day. Initially, when Anita suggested that we could write our own vows, the fear of public speaking was the first thing that came to mind, but once the ceremony was flowing, beautifully guided by Anita and we were surrounded by the love of family and friends, the anxieties melted away and we have our own very personal vows to look back on and cherish. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Anita as your celebrant, her love for what she does is evident and without her our day wouldn't have felt the same. We had the best unique and personal wedding ceremony we could have wished for with Anita as our celebrant. Anita was amazing every step of the way, we planned our wedding via video call from New Zealand before traveling to the UK. Anita visited the venue a 1950's diner on our behalf and worked out exactly how it would all work. We blended our two families together with hand tying ceremony and some family vows. If was perfect.

I wish I could give 1000 stars. Anita took care of everything for us and created a beautiful ceremony based on our wants and wishes. It was perfect. She’s warm, passionate and 100% in the right job. We didn’t want a textbook script for our vows, we wanted our ceremony to feel alive and magical; she created just that. I knew from the moment I met Anita that I wanted her to facilitate our ceremony; I actually cried just a little tiny bit when she was explaining all of the different ways you can share your love in a ceremony, ok ok I might’ve balled my eyes out!!
