The Georgian Window
Used to pop in here pretty much weekly in the early 1990s when we were at Uni and I think the shop opened whilst we were there. Amazed to see it is still there and looking very much like the same lovely place to browse and pick up something unusual and beautiful. Will have to pop back in some time soon when we're next back up in the North East.

I love this shop in Durham and have just discovered there is another one to visit in the Team Valley, which I must visit soon.The one in Durham is found along a lovely cobbled lane in the city centre. It's a cosy little boutique with some very unusual merchandise but also plain items to suit all. It's isn't expensive, so don't worry that the prices will be too much. They have some wonderful items to find and I could spend hours there. I don't even like clothes shopping, so that's saying a lot. Ten out of ten...

I have been going into this shop since it opened. I love it. It's like a stylish Aladdin's cave. And the staff are so helpful and friendly. The Georgian Window is my favourite shop in Durham. I don't ever come away empty-handed.

What a lovely shop very small but well worth having a look very polite gentleman who served us nice to go in a shop and be treated with friendly conversation even when realy busy will definitely go back to this shop when we next visit durham a credit to the owners of this business. Thankyou

If you are looking for something different and qwerty please visit this little gem. Not only are the staff fantastic, the shop it's self is like a tardis. You have to go round more than once and you still won't see everything.

A little Aladdin's cafe tucked under the cathedral and castle on a cobbled street! This shop has a great range of candles, incense, jewellery, accessories and gorgeous clothes. One of those Mary Poppins places where you just keep finding more and more in such a small place.

The Georgian Window
The Georgian Window was a delightful shop. Hand sanitizer was available and there was a card reader as well as a screen to protect staff in these extraordinary times. I was able to browse the wonderful selection of gifts and souvenirs and come away with just what I was looking for. Very friendly staff.
