Brilliant interaction with staff who are always willing to help nice space to shop and browse even had air conditioning

I always liked visiting CeX stores, and this one is no exception. It is a bit smaller than the ones downtown, but at least you can still find a few rare titles for old consoles. Staff was helpful both times I needed to return an item. It wasn't damaged or anything, we just wanted to exchange it and we had no issues doing so.

I picked the Arnold branch as it's the one I visit most. However this is a general reflection of CeX as a whole. I'm also reviewing as a buyer rather than seller. Good points, lots of choice, easy to find, some real bargains and when served always friendly. Negatives, can be over priced for what is essentially second hand goods. Queue especially at weekends can be huge and you find most of staff heads down dealing with people selling stuff and maybe only one serving buyers which can be frustrating. Also online not competitive at all for media purchases due to postage charge per item!!! No group price. So , yes I use them for convenience and choice but not as often as I could with some service tweaks.

Solid selection of games ranging from the early 00s to the present day (though the Switch selection is sadly rather lacking), and a decent DVD collection too. Prices are generally decent - I brought my beloved PSVita here for a great price!

Utter rip off.... sellers beware.Gave a nearly new galaxy tab & bluetooth keyboard in to sell, told they needed 30 minutes to test, when i returned i was told they were both broke and work £1.10p & 20p scrap value respectively.Tested them both infront of them, they dismissed everything and said its scrap only".Took to another purchaser and got full value.Not the 1st time it's happened but will be last time i go there."

Been to multiple Cex stores across the country, managed a pawnbrokers, even done mystery shopping for stores in this industry. Absolutely appalled by the service in this branch. Refused a trade in on a 20 year old console, boxed in near mint condition. This company will find issues that simply don't exist under the guise that they're experts and they know better than the consumer. If they don't want to invest in something that they know will be a slow mover on their inventory, then they will fabricate a fault. Side note, another customer was in there arguing with them about another issue. Stay clear. Buy on ebay and support independants. AVOID.
