Great independent cinema to watch all sorts of independent films that do often aire in regular cinemas. Good atmosphere which is helped by the helpful volunteers. If you want to support independent and foreign cinema, this is the best place for it in Reading.

Excellent choice of unusual films, with latest digital projector and surrounding sound system. Uncomfortable seating otherwise five stars

Showing the best art house, foreign language and independent films not usually found at the multiplexes. Big screen and impressive 5.1/7.1 thx sound. Very appreciative and knowledgeable audience. Only let down is the hard seating (well it is a university lecture theatre) but cushions for members are provided.

Great films, lovely volunteers, fair prices. Not allowed food in the cinema so you can solely concentrate on the film.

Great cinema with surprisingly good sound setup. Enjoyable once I got past the 9am lecture flashbacks. Tiered seating is so aggressive you'll only have trouble seeing the screen if the person in front of you is 12 feet tall. With an eclectic choice of films, it's one of Reading's best kept secrets. The seats could be uncomfortable but they have cushions on request. Could be better if refreshments were permitted.

Great independent cinema run in a lecture theatre. You can often find films that wouldn’t have been shown at the Vue or Showcase. Decent price too. They don’t allow food or drink.

Shame not more student members. A fabulous place for a good range if films, most not mainstream.

They show a good range of films, from the independent to the mainstream. Shown in a lecture hall, the seating is good. They've installed a really good surround sound system in there! It has a relaxed atmosphere, and the tickets are cheap.Food is not openly welcome, but just ensure you tidy up afterwards. Parking is good in the large university car parks.
