Provenance Butcher Chelsea

Bought some gone off meat from here & had to return it immediately. No apologies offered. They do not sell unaged or low histamine beef here either, very limited selection. Considering the location & price paid, one does not expect this.

I tend to use the meats asap because I'm way too excited to eat them, so cannot comment on the use by date. Meat is great quality and staff member was wonderful.

I have bought meat from Provenance a couple of times now.They have a good selection and their chicken is very tasty and their sausage is well seasoned. Nonetheless, I find them very expensive, even for the area.In addition, two other times I followed the best by dates they had printed on the label, but the meat (pork chops, and merguez) had started to grow visible mold by the last dayThere’s better and cheaper butchers in the area

Best butchers in the area. Great location on Pavilion Road. Highly recommend for quality steaks - the cuts are so good they don’t require much seasoning or marinade.

First time using Provenance as I had Thanksgiving creep on me and was scrambling to find a turkey. Found them online and was so pleased to see they had a specific Thanksgiving menu to save the day. Ordered very easily online and chose delivery day. They called 2 days ahead to confirm delivery and on the day gave me a 2 hour time slot. The cherry on top was they delivered the package with a cute red white and blue balloon that the kids loved and made everything feel more festive. Finally, the meat was incredible! Best turkey crown I’ve ever had. A great experience and feel so much better buying from here than mass produced grocery birds. New long term customer here!

I should start this review by stating that I've never physically been into the shop, I've only cooked meat that my girlfriend Sofia has bought there as she's works on the same road at Natoora. The quality of the produce at Provenance is stellar, every piece of meat I've been fortunate enough to cook from this butcher's has been absolutely outstanding. I'm lucky enough to live in close proximity to a branch of the Ginger Pig and I make pilgrimages to HG Walter from time to time, so I'm accustomed to high quality produce but that being said there's something special about what's happening at Provenance. Ollie, whatever your doing.....keep doing it! 10/10!You and your team are heroes!

I came around looking for two pork steaks as I was cooking something special for myself and my partner that night. I was a bit taken back by the price of these as it rounded up being a total of 33£. Later that evening I was preparing to cook, but to my surprise I discovered that they haven’t cut the steak in half to make two portions. The steak had a bone and it was literally impossible to cut it in half at home without special equipment. Not gonna lie but I was disappointed because I can clearly recall asking for two steaks. The staff working there were nice though, recommend how to cook the meat.

Good and tasty food, but only a few seats outside. The rotisserie chicken and potatoes were delicious.

Excellent service and high qualities meat options which you’ll obviously can’t find in a regular supermarket. They also have nice hot sauces for attractive price. I bought some hamburgers beefs and couldn’t have done a better choice.
