I am now retired , I have kept up my membership as a retire person , as such I have paid 2 years in advance for my membership . I contacted the union in order to use a service supplied by the union , I am now being told by the union that even though I have paid two years in advance for my membership because I have cancelled by direct debit because the union had taken the wrong amount out of my account I am officially not a member because they class membership as having a live direct debit , even tough I have paid them two years in advance . I have never heard anything so stupid in my life . time to wake up unite and get your systems sorted out so you are not blaming members for your own admin fault !
