Well worth a visit if you are in Kidderminster. Allow at least an hour and a half as although it isn't an enormous museum, there is a lot of information both to read and hear from staff.

I lived visiting this museum. A wonderful treasure. Took my 11 year old daughter, who loved the activities, dressing up, designing carpets, weaving, and much more.I found the explanation and demonstration of the carpet-making machine fascinating! Well worth a visit for an hour or two.

Absolute must visit for an overview of the key industry in Kidderminster. Very informative and educational, well laid out for all ages. Will keep your interest for a couple of hours if you engage with the very friendly volunteers.

We had a fabulous time at the children's weaving workshop today. Anthea, Andrea and Linda were very informative and helpful, the children loved it and were so excited to take home a finished woven placemat/wall hanging. The reception staff were all very welcoming too. Thank you all for a fabulous morning, we look forward to returning again soon.

Very enjoyable visit to this museum.Staff knowledgeable, helpful and very pleasant.Easy access, parking etc. (Morrisons next door so you can grab a coffee)I was too early for the power loom demonstration; but enjoyed the manual early days loom demo and in depth talk from one of the museum staff..

The Museum of Carpet
A small museum but packed full of the history of carpet manufacture and Kidderminster itself. The guides are very well informed and you can watch weaving and spinning demonstrations. We learned about the Huguenot settlers bringing their artisan skills to the town. It's well worth a visit and a gem of a local museum.
