Such a lovely place.Claire (the owner) is very attentive and helps with painting tips and techniques.Lovely for children as a group or just taking one or two.Great for an adult party too - take your own wine.A week later you go back to pick up your creation!Xxx

Lovely little gem of a studio in the centre of Writtle! They have an amazing choice of items and very affordable for a creative afternoon with friends/family/children. Would highly recommend!

Ceramics On The Hop
We went for a holiday session with my children on a rainy day. We had a great time! It is a nice cozy atmosphere and the owner was lovely and friendly - she even let my children do some pottery modelling and didn’t charge us for it. As a plus it would be good if drinks (ie a cup of tea) were being sold. Would certainly go again for a relaxing time! Good for the soul!

Really love Ceramics on the Hop. There are other similar places nearer to us, but this one is worth the journey.They're friendly and ready to help and encourage anyone who needs a boost. My 94 year old mum enjoys our visits there, my daughter has brought our grandson and my husband and I really enjoy the chance to dip into our creative side for a day.Thoroughly recommend it !

Ceramics On The Hop
A positive different experience. Took our 2 year old grandson and he painted a Nimo figure with his own random pattern. Pick up in 2 weeks after it has been fired. Very welcoming and helpful owner. Free Parking on nearby green can be tricky, but once parked it was only a 3 minute walk. Would recommend.

Great fun that makes time fly by. Good variety of ceramics to choose from to paint and very reasonable selection of paints available, supplied with a handy colour chart.The owner was very friendly and walked past frequently to offer help and advise; ceramics are picked up a week later after kilning.

It's great to have so much choose. Fabulous shop to relax and paint away. You always feel comfortable and never rushed. Excellent advice on how to use different colours and different techniques to enhance the look. Been there a couple of times now. And well definitely be going back again. Good prices.
