I've bought a new SKUK Romany Surf kayak from Steve at Southern Sea Kayaks, as well as paddles and various other assorted bits of kit. Steve's knowledge of sea kayaks is extensive, his advice is spot on, and his customer service outstanding.

Simply great customer service. I had the pleasure of dealing with Steve throughout the manufacture of my boat, I was looking for a boat that had a 9 month long wait to be manufactured so I got in touch to see if he had any in stock or knew of anyone who did. He said he was expecting to pickup an order from SKUK in a month or two and let me reserve one no hassle with the option of a deposit or full payment. He kept me up to date about the completion date and when there any delays, as result I now have a boat a couple of months from contacting Steve where I was expecting to wait 10! Really nice guy and even organised with SKUK to let me collect myself from the workshop no hassle since that was closer to me.I purchased a Romany Sportive and the boat is awesome, perfect for a small/medium sized paddler like myself (5’7”, 72kg). Awesome boat that feels like it will last a lifetime with even the littlest of maintenance (but it deserves real care) and plays well whilst keeping good forward speed.
