Absolutely the best tour of the Cotswolds! My daughter and I were lucky enough to book a tour with Lucy and Richard when traveling from the US to the UK. Both Lucy and Richard are so friendly and kind throughout the booking process and the tour. We chose the Bespoke Tour, and it was excellent! Richard was very knowledgeable of the area and the history, and it was so fun learning the little facts about the area and local history. At each location that we visited, we had time to explore on our own, which was perfect. It is clear that Lucy and Richard love what they do. We would absolutely recommend that if you are looking for a tour in the Cotswolds that you book with them! Thank you so much Lucy & Richard!

Cannot say enough good things about our 1 day Cotswolds Bucket list tour with Richard and Lucy! They made our trip to the Cotswolds so special and helped us see way more than we thought possible with our limited time.Background - we tacked on a 48 hour trip to the Cotswolds at the end of a trip to London, and weren’t sure if we would have enough time to experience and see anything since we didn’t have a car. Thankfully we found Lucy and Richard and took the train to Moreton in Marsh, and they made it happen from there!Pre-tour - extremely easy to work and communicate with and proactive, appreciated their tour availability posted on their site, fast replies, etc.Tour highlights - this was one of the top tours we’ve ever been on, Richard’s knowledge of the area as a local and efficiency in navigating meant we got to see 8 different locations in one day trip without feeling rushed at all. He was extremely prepared and knowledgeable but also gave us plenty of time to see and explore on our own. He had great recommendations for food, shopping, and sites to see, things we would have missed on our own. The convenience of being picked up from our hotel in Moreton was amazing. Last favorite thing - Richard is an amazing photographer, and took so many beautiful photos of us that we will treasure. Way better than the selfies we have from London!!Thank you Richard and Lucy for a special and personalized tour of the Cotswolds, we can’t wait to come back and do the 3 day tour with you!

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Richard in August! Knowing the Cotswolds towns as well as he does, he suggested such wonderful spots in order to maximize our experience of the Cotswolds area (and to avoid the summer crowds!) He could not have been more welcoming and informative. A highlight was Stanton, a lovely village where we were lucky enough to have a large rainbow seemingly landing right in town! Talk about being in the pot of gold! If you're at all wanting to explore this picturesque and charming part of England, you must book Cotswolds Guided Tours. Your experience from booking (thank you Lucy!) to exploring the villages themselves with Richard, will make for such wonderful experiences and memories. 10/10 for sure!

We took the Cotswold Highlights 2 Day Tour two weeks ago, and it was the highlight of our trip to Britain. Lucy and Richard were so easy to work with from inquiring about tour dates through the end of our second day of touring. They definitely love what they do, and it shows! Richard met us each day at the train station in Moreton-in-Marsh, and touring this beautiful region commenced. He took us to several towns, where we had the opportunity to explore on our own, shop, or enjoy lunch. While driving, Richard provided local history, knowledge of the area, and engaging conversation. We highly recommend Cotswold Guided Tours!

Our Bespoke Cotswolds Tour was like a fairytale!Richard took us to the beautiful, picturesque villages we had chosen for our tour, and it was wonderful from beginning to end!He would tell us interesting and fun facts about the Cotswolds during our journey to each village, and then when we arrived at each village, we had time to stroll around and explore on our own, take photos, and do some shopping in the bigger villages. It was all perfect!Lucy was great with communications. She kept us informed from the time we made our reservation, up until our scheduled tour date, and I always received a quick response to my questions. We were very pleased with everything and we loved our special gifts at the end :-)Our stay in the Cotswolds and our tour with Richard was the highlight of our vacation.We can’t wait to come back and do another tour to some of the other villages.

We had such a lovely day out with Richard! Lucy and Richard were lovely to work with through every step of the process. We had a few ideas about the things we wanted to see, and they were really able to advise us about which towns would make for the best overall experience. A lot of times the more famous towns are absolutely overrun with tourists during the high season. They're lovely, but you're not going to have a very tranquil experience (or get many good pictures) because there are 400 people there. Richard and Lucy took us to hidden gems that are just as gorgeous and off the London bus tour route. We often had the whole place to ourselves! Richard was the perfect guide. He was knowledgeable, affable, and it was just a pleasure to spend the day with him. He showed us so many neat little details, things we wouldn't have found in any guidebook. This was absolutely the highlight of our trip and I cannot recommend it highly enough!

I and two friends had two wonderful days of touring with Richard in late June. He is an excellent guide & historian of the Cotswolds. Lucy worked with me months ahead to create tours specifically for us and added time at the end of the day to accommodate our wishes. Lucy and Richard are both lovely people who are friendly, very knowledgeable, and excellent in what they do.

I would like to let you know the enjoyment my husband and I shared in taking the Bucket List Cotswold Tour with Richard this past September. It was outstanding. Richard has a wealth of knowledge of the area and was very engaging and attentive to our questions and provided great insights on the areas we were visiting due to his living in the area. He took us to picturesque locations in hidden areas that we would not have known to visit. One thing we especially liked about this tour was that Richard took us to villages in the area that the large tour buses could not get into and this made for a much better Cotswold visit; the visit to Adlestrop is a great example of this. We were able to stroll around each village with some insights provided by Richard prior to our exploring these villages on our own. As well, Lucy was very easy to work with in scheduling the tour and communication throughout was excellent. We highly recommend this tour company for the Cotswold’s. Richard and Lucy are lovely people and will make sure you have a very enjoyable time and learn a lot about the Cotswold’s.

We had a lovely half day tour of the Cotswolds with Richard. I told Lucy beforehand that I was a big fan of Tolkien, and they made sure to bring us to Stow-on-the-Wold to see the famous door that is believed to have inspired him. The half day was the right balance of guided tour and independent exploration. Definitely worth booking a private tour with Lucy and Richard!

Our group of 7 spent three days touring with Richard and were so impressed with his never-ending knowledge of the history of Cotswolds as well as his guidance regarding the best places to eat or snap the perfect photo. Lucy was an absolute delight working with to plan the details of our tour and incredibly patient with all of my questions. Our flight to the UK was canceled the night prior to our tour, but Lucy promptly provided a new Plan A and Plan B to maximize our time, and Richard was incredibly accommodating in still ensuring we saw all of the villages on our itinerary, despite additional flight delays. It's easy to tell Richard and Lucy truly care about their guests and providing the best experience possible. No detail is overlooked - including cleaning up our footprints in the van before picking us up the next morning! I give Cotswolds Guided Tours my highest recommendation and hope to return to see more of the Cotswolds with them in the future.
