I really enjoyed making a stool at The Weld Space. I was amazed at how much I learned in a day - Richard is an excellent teacher - friendly and knowledgable. It was a really good experience. I found myself to be inordinately proud of my stool and it has been the subject of much admiration. Easily accessible by bus and train and plenty of cafes nearby for lunch. Highly recommended.

Richard provided a very proficient and comprehensive course on the fundamentals of welding to a complete beginner.By the end of the day I personally came away with a vast understanding of welding to the point I’m off now to buy my first mig/mma welder.Thank you

I recently attended an introduction to TIG welding course at The Weld Space". I have never TIG welded before

I have always wanted to learn how to MIG and stick weld. The introduction course run by The Weld Space was pitched just right for a total novice like myself. It was informative and offered lots of practical learning. Richard is an excellent teacher and communicator. I shall definitely be going back to The Weld Space for more practice and bench time in the near future.

Amazing experience. I did the welding weekend which I'd recommend to anyone. The instructor is friendly, helpful and patient. Great way to get into welding and to come out with a fantastic chair!

What a thoroughly enjoyable experience!Richard’s approach to teaching the art of welding is both creative and informative in equal measure. Many little nuggets of useful advice and ‘tips of the trade’ were shared throughout, and the opportunity to put the newly acquired skills to the test in creating a takeaway piece was simply brilliant.Couldn’t recommend highly enough, and will certainly be seeing what other courses are available at The Weld Space in the future.

A wonderful experience for my first time welding!The Weld Space provided me with a 1-day introduction to welding, which was thoroughly enjoyable and very informative. Richard is an excellent teacher, able to easily answer any question around the topic, and clearly passionate. Topics covered included prep for welding, use of welding machines, what to look for in a machine, MMA welding, MIG welding, and post weld work. The timings are well structured, giving plenty of practice time with a variety of equipment. The Weld Space is well-sized with four welding benches, giving a personal feeling and ensuring plenty of one-on-one time can be had with the instructor.Definitely recommend for anyone looking at gaining or improving welding skills, I look forward to returning soon!

Absolutely brilliant! I bought the weekend for my husband for a 'special' birthday. Not only did he come away having met really lovely people, he also made something really useful! Richard was brilliant. The Weld Space is located in a fab location which meant I could spend time exploring Plymouth - not that I've completed all that yet, so will definitely have to come back and book him on another course - we can have a chair each then!
